An end to the Season

Charles played softball again this year with the church league and had a blast with the team.  Most of the men are from our Sunday School class, so it was fun hanging out with the guys.  Although they may not have   taken home any trophies, they "appeared" to be having a good time.

Happy Memorial Day

Thank you could never be enough for what the service men and women in America do for us.  Because of you, we get a lifetime of freedom and celebrating family.  Today, we spent time as a family just relaxing by the pool, playing and cooking out.  One of the BEST days I have had in a LONG time.  Today was also the LAST bag of breast milk we have.  So, looks like the little Princess will now be on cow's milk!  I don't know why, but I am so saddened by this.  Somehow it feels like she doesn't need me anymore.  I know this isn't true, but I am still sad.  It did brighten my day though when she came in to see me after her bath and had a "thank you note" on her back.  :)  We have spent the last few days getting her tummy used to half breast milk and half organic whole milk.  She is perfect as always and has yet to have problems.  In fact, I just put her down to bed with the first bottle that was all whole milk.  I pray her tummy tolerates it well.  Thank you service men/women again for all these small things we are able to enjoy on a daily basis.  We owe our worry free days to you!  May God always bless you for blessing AMERICA!

Sleep Fest 2012

There are friends that come and go throughout our lives.  Then, there are some that come and stay.  They stay with you through life, love, and laughter.  Even when they may not be physically near you, they stay in your heart forever.  Love you Sleep Fest 2012 girls...and miss you Laura, Anne and Jenn!

Caelin's cheerio trophy

We have been teaching Caelin to do the sign language for "more" when wanting food these last few weeks.  She has caught on quickly, and is so smart.  Cade has joined in and likes to remind her of how it goes.  Tonight, when Caelin signed "more" for a cheerio, Cade told her (2 seconds after I stopped recording on my phone, bummer!), "Congratulations Caelin, I hope you get a trophy!"  I almost died laughing and asked him, "What kind of a trophy would that be?"  Cade replied very matter-of-factly, "A cheerio one that says 'Congrats YEEE HAAAAWWW!'"  Where does he get this stuff from?

Weekend in Grapeland

After a LONG work week, it was time to relax and have some fun at the family lake house in Grapeland.  It always brings back memories of Mumps/Grumps to be at the lake house, but it makes me smile.  I sure wish I could see Mumps sitting on the enclosed patio with her drink or Grumps lounged back in the blue recliner with Dolly (their dog) next to him.  We had a fun time just hanging out together, fishing, cutting a tree down, mowing the hill, watching a movie, attempting to roast marshmallows, and most of all...getting dirty!  Each time we go, we say to ourselves "why don't we go more often?"  Well, it's true, we NEED to go more often.  Being with nature and away from our "crazy fast life" has a way of rejuvenating anyone!  Caelin wasn't feeling up to par due to a left ear infection, so we spent most of the weekend taking turns cuddling with her.  Cade had a blast and kept say, "I love the lake house, it so much fun!"  Cade enjoyed yelling "timbeeeeerrrrr" when the tree fell, was SO EXCITED when he caught a fish, and would not eat the roasted marshmallows..he only wanted to eat the ones from the bag.  Here are some fun pics.  Thanks to Gamee/Grampee for getting us all to go!
