Kindergarten round up at Ehrhardt

Well folks, it happened.  Like it or not, I just registered my precious boy for Kindergarten next year.  I fought back tears more than once so that I was not "THAT" Mom.  But once I got to my car, it was a whole other story.  Cade had a great time as the Kindergarten teachers introduce themselves and then the kids go with them to do an activity while we do paperwork.  Cade even recognized his friend, Aubrey, who will be in Kinder with him next year!  I am blessed in the fact that they will be at school with Charles and protected.  I have the security in knowing that the school is led by a man of God and what could be better than that?  So, just put this event down in history and I guess time continues to tick on despite how badly we want a "freeze frame" moment.  Now, just wait for the post where I actually have to release him on Aug 24th!

Dripping Springs Alumni Game

Each year the boys put on their pads and play for the Dripping Springs Tigers as Alumni.  Charles did not attend Dripping Springs HS, but was recruited by Chris.  It is always fun to see them in their uniforms.  Although they may be a bit slower and more injuries occur, they seem to still thrive for this.  I was so proud of Charles as he played Deep Snapper and Center.  Cade/Caelin loved seeing him out there and the kids were a hoot to watch during the game.  The best part was that Charles and Chris wore Daddy's name on the back of their jerseys.  So, it was just a reminder that he was there with us all night.  Daddy has his frappacino drink in one hand and was laughing at the "boys acting like they are teenagers".  Ha!  It was a fun evening that even ended with a cousin sleepover!  Until next year Tigers...

Cade lost his 2nd tooth!

Well friends, we officially have a gap in the front where our two baby teeth used to be.  Cade lost it on Friday afternoon while eating pizza at Gamee's for lunch.  I am excited for Cade, but wondering where the time is going.  I just love him so much and will lock all these memories in my heart.  The tooth fairy even had to visit Nana's since we were at her house for the football game this weekend.  Of course the tooth fairy only gave Cade a $1 since she gives $20 for the first tooth.
