Wrestling and Gymnastics

Our Thursday nights just became filled with wrestling and gymnastics.  Both kids have been talking about their sport for a while now, and with fall starting, this is a great time.  So, here we go...

Napkin notes

We draw pictures or write riddles on Cade's napkins for his lunch. I was pretty proud of my drawing tonight.  Everyone made fun of me though.  I do not understand why.

Cade starts 1st grade

I have no idea how this day is here. We prayed for years that God would give us a child to love and adore and along came Cade. We officially have a 1st grade Ehrhardt Eagle in Mrs. Ivins' class!  I am excited to see what this year will bring.  Not sure how he could possibly get any smarter...but I know it is going to happen.  Go get 'em Cade...just do not forget that Mommy still needs a kiss every day and stay out of the Principal's office (except for after school).

Cade's 7th birthday party

We had a birthday party success today! This boy was so happy to be around his friends. We had a Gravity Falls theme (his favorite cartoon on Disney XD channel) at the Tomball movie theater and saw "Pete's Dragon".  The movie had been released the day prior to the party, so many people were excited to see it.  We had reserved seats and all the kids got party packs for the movie.  It was a great movie and of course Gamee made another amazing cake with her talent.  Cade loved how his cake was a Gravity Falls journal book and the table also had a jar of eyeballs and a hand to decorate.  Gamee knows how to go all out.  Cade's friends Kinsey, Aiden, Aubrie, Riley, and the family were all there to celebrate.  Cade was spoiled in gifts with things such as: Angry Bird and Minecraft Legos, Football, Gravity Falls books/figures, Pokemon cards, giftcards, Lego Nexo Night sets, Sea Skylanders for the PS4, new backpack/lunchbox/iTunes giftcard, and more.  Thanks to all our friends who came to celebrate!

Cade turns 7 years old

It is hard to fathom that our baby boy is now 7 years old.  SEVEN YEARS!!!  We cannot imagine life without his smile, laughter, smart words, Lego genius ideas, funny thoughts and more.  I never knew how much we could love a tiny human.  This year has been such a turning point for Cade.  We finished Kindergarten, got perfect grades and tested GT in all areas.  He also kept growing and is almost up to my shoulders now.  Guess he will be taller than me soon, see stats below.  Cade is our reader and engineer.  He loves to build things with Legos and can do Lego sets with over 1,700 pc by himself.  His favorite books are Magic Treehouse, Ready Freddy, and Wayside Stories.  He has started wrestling as his sports and enjoys it weekly.  He also enjoys playing board games and geocaching.  Favorite restaurants are Bluewater Seafood, PDQ, and “The Big M”.  Favorite type of ice cream is Mint chocolate chip, vanilla, and gummy bear flavor.  When I asked what one item he would take to a deserted island, he replied “my computer of course”.

We love you so very much Cade.  Words cannot express how proud we are to be your parents.  You make us happy every day and the world is for you to conquer.  Cannot wait to see how God blesses you this next year.

Height- 4ft 3.5in, Weight- 91.2 lbs (Vision/hearing tests are perfect)

Such a big heart

I love this! Today at church they had to draw a pic of someone teaching and helping them. Cade drew our neighbor Ricky teaching him to play Pokemon Go from a few weeks ago. He even remembered the phone Ricky was holding, the hat he wore, Caelin on a bike, and I (the one looking like I just finished riding a horse). We love our neighbors so much and Cade adores Ricky!

Shamu...best sleeping partner ever.

She finally sleeps in her bed (as opposed to odd places), but apparently now she also sleeps with Shamu.  Somehow they fit.  Of course Caelin spins like a top in her sleep, so we will see if Shamu gets kicked out of bed by the morning.
