Senior Gold!!!

So, I have done this Plexus "gig" for over 3 years now.  People have told me its just an MLM company, people have discounted the products without even trying them, and people have rolled their eyes behind my back when I was sharing with others.  Regardless, I am PROUD of this company, it's Christian leaders and what it has done for my personal health and the health of COUNTLESS family members and friends.  With almost 200 ambassadors now under me and over 100 personal customers over the past 3 years...I KNOW I am changing lives just by sharing my success and believing in these products.  3 years ago I struggled with finding something to help my Dad with his diabetes and I came across my friend Seena who said she had this product that was created for diabetics.  I researched it and the company and INSTANTLY saw success in my Dad.  He was able to regulate his blood sugars better which controlled his mood and take less insulin.  For me, that is all it took.  So, even though it seems like bragging, I am putting this accomplishment on here so that my kids know that if you believe in something, you should NEVER let anyone steal your joy.  I only wish Daddy was here so that I could tell him I am now in the top .67% of a Worldwide company.  THANK YOU Plexus for every smile, text, and hug from those around me that I have been able to help.  Thank you Seena Patel for being an amazing leader and supporting me.  Most of all, thank you Lord for reminding me of my "why" when I get to shy to share with others.

Sleepfest

Every year my friends do Sleepfest.  This is an all night sleepover for adults (although we fall asleep a lot earlier, ha!) with lots of Shenanigans.  Every year I say "I have never laughed that hard for that long"!  This is how I know God has blessed me with the best friends a gal could have.  Unfortunately,  this year the theme was "Everything Echo" as we said goodbye to Echo who was moving to Idaho.  The night was a success for sure.  Not to mention we have too much dirt and pictures on each other to not be friends anymore...HAHAHA!

Jacob turns 2 years!

Today, we celebrated Jacob's birthday a few weeks late due to everyone's vacations.  Jacob is our chubbers and we adore his steadfast personality and strong will.  God is gonna do great things in his life!

Hysterectomy time!

I knew this day was coming, so honestly I was not at all worried about the surgery.  Due to the blood thinners I could no longer take the hormone therapy which controlled my cycles and seizures.  Thus, the timeline to wait till mid 40's didn't exactly work out.  The surgery was a huge success and lasted no more than an hour.  The doc was able to leave one ovary that we hope will give hormones back to me.  So all in all it was a great outcome and I am thankful for all the good things that will come from this.

McCharen Family Reunion

This year we returned to T Bar M Resort and Conference center. The Buttercup room once again was home to lots of catching up, Puzzles, stories, etc. We gathered in the morning for hugs and chatting before heading our separate ways for lunch. Our family ventured to the Gristmill as we do every year. It is my favorite restaurant on the river and great food. This year we had a bonus surprise with "Buddy/Alvin" the squirrel.  He was friendly and not shy to let us know he wanted some chips. The kids each fed him chips one at a time. After lunch, we shopped at our favorite cooking store and got some infused olive oils and fresh canned olives. We quickly headed back to T Bar M for family games where Gamee and Grampee took the lead. We played all kinds of games that left us all laughing.  Games included: Pantyhose Bowling, Have you Ever game, knocking over cups with balloons, team puzzles, etc. They are always so creative in coming up with the games.  Next, Charles and I organized a kids treasure hunt. The kids had to run all over the resort grounds with clues for where to find the next clue. At the end, their "sweet" prize was hidden inside the piano in the meeting room. They had a great time working together. After dinner, the family gathered for a sing along with hymns and a time of sharing. Finally, the auction closed and winners were announced. Although this year was smaller in population, it was still a great time of sharing and love. We cannot wait till next year!
