Happy Memorial Day!

Thinking of Memorial Day and all the brave soldiers that paid the ultimate price for us. It brings tears to my eyes to know they died in battle for US, people they do not even know. As a result, I get memories like this past weekend to cherish.  Our weekend was filled with family time, laughter and love. I pray the families are comforted today knowing we are grateful. We truly are the land of the FREE because of the BRAVE!

Caelin's work

I love all of the work they sent home for Caelin's end of the year.  You can tell how much she has progressed in one year, and she is so thoughtful!

Last day of school for Caelin

Caelin's last day of school was not as bad as I anticipated since she will be returning to John Wesley next year.  I am forever grateful for her teachers this year, Mrs.  Watts and Mrs. Milam.  They have such caring hearts for all the kids and I was continually amazed at their creativity and all the activities they had the kids doing.  They were a step above my expectations every single day.  Caelin loves school and was excited to go each day.  She made some beautiful new friends and will forever have them in her life now.  This year Caelin learned to write her name, recognize all letters, count to 20, do simple math, and most importantly her social skills grew tremendously.  She is a much better turn taker, and a clear leader with her friends.  We are so proud of you Caelin and all you accomplished during your Lion class.  We look forward to watching you grow in the Kangaroo class next year.  Love you MORE!

Creative Cade

My favorite homework of Cade's all year. I love how creative he is and such a problem solver. When he wrote his name in the wrong place, he solved that by directing the teacher with an arrow. When asked to pick his favorite setting, he made sure to note in the margin that there were too many to choose from in the Fly Guy book.

Sunday FUN day

Sunday FUNday with some outdoor water fun. Water balloons courtesy of some gifts from Aunt Kathy Sammons! 😍

Some things to note:
1- All 4 of us in the Hall fam are slightly competitive.
2- Our family water balloon fights always end with someone crying or hurt feelings. 
3- Charles and/or I occasionally wind up with a whelp on our back.
4- NEVER turn your back to someone armed with a water balloon.
5- Who wants to join us next time? (insert evil laugh)

Love under the Oak tree

Nothing brings back love into your life like a wedding.  Even more so a wedding with great friends.  Charles and I had such a pleasant evening at Garrett and Nicki Tallerine's wedding.  Tanya looked amazing as the Mother of the Groom and Becah/John joined Charles and I on the dance floor for an entire evening of dancing and laughter.  Special thanks to Gamee and Grampee for once again watching Cade and Caelin so that we could enjoy an evening out.  They even spoiled all the grandkids with a special day/night with a movie (Angry Birds), pizza dinner and a night in a hotel.  Their favorite part was swimming with Grampee!  Love was in the air!

Muffins for Mom

I enjoyed doing Muffins for Mom with both Caelin and Cade this year at each of their schools!  Here are pictures from both days.  

Caelin's end of the year program

John Wesley School hosted the cutest end of the year program titled, "Going Buggy".  Of course all the songs were bug related and each class got to perform on stage for a song.  Caelin was so excited to perform and would not show us ANY songs before hand.  She wanted it to be a surprise.  She spent time giggling with her best friend Adalia and showing off her dance moves.  I loved watching her smile and wave to us.  Gamee, Grampee, and baby Jacob were also able to come, so she had quite the audience!  I am so proud of how far she has come this year and we can officially say she is not shy!  Ha!
