Best buds

Sometimes they fight, but love watching them be best buds. I pray God continues to grow their relationship. They are our world.

Caelin's Shimmer and Shine BD 5th party!

This year Caelin selected a jump place called 'Pump it up' to have her party at.  We had such a great time with 2 different jumping rooms and then a party room for her cake and presents.  Her theme was Shimmer and Shine (her favorite Nickelodeon show) and she was surrounded by lots of neighbors and friends from her PK class.  She loved playing on the equipment and opening presents the best.  However, she did not like it when all her friends starting chanting, "Caelin, Caelin, Caelin..." as she entered the room though.  I think she got a little embarrassed.  Ha!  She received so many gifts such as: My Little Pony toys, Shimmer and Shine dolls, Doggie purse, nail polish, art supplies, Secret Agent Barbie, sidewalk paint/chalk, Zootopia set, Toys-R-Us giftcard, and Lego friends. She is one blessed little girl indeed and we enjoyed watching her smile all afternoon.  A HUGE thanks to Gamee/Grampee for the amazing Shimmer and Shine themed BD cake and magic carpets as party favors.  Once again, the cake was the hit of the event and made everything perfect.  Caelin's favorite part of the cake was "all the purple colors and jewels"...sounds like a girl, right?!  Happy birthday Caelin, you are so dearly loved by all!

VHS tapes...

Remember recording movies with VHS tapes off the TV (circa 1985 and wonder if this was actually legal?)...well anyway, look what we found! Dusted off the old VHS player, hooked it all up, and now the tough decision of which to choose when the kids go to bed! Thoughts?

Family time...

Early morning family breakfast with crepes. If you want to be outside it must be before 9:30am around here! Kids had fun and even made us do a photo shoot. Ha!

13 years ago today...

we bought the house we are in now. This little house is such a great home with so many memories. We started as 2 people and grew to 4 and a precious furry baby all in this home.

I love so much about the "little things" like:
1- the dent on the ceiling was because Charles tried a poor ninja move with a bottle cap
2- the bottom of the microwave has a crack from a fire when we tried to cook one of our first meals
3- the baseboard of the vanity in kids bathroom is a little warped cause my Dad fell asleep in the bathtub and flooded the back part of house (the day after I moved in)
4- Plaster repair on many corners of walls thanks to Baylor running through house and not stopping on time

The list could go on, but memories make a house a home, and I love our little home!

Happy 35th Birthday LIZZY!

Nothing better than surprising your best friend of about 28 years on her birthday!  Christina and I drove up to spend 2 nights with Lizzy in Dallas to celebrate her 35th birthday.  It was such a relaxing time.  We spent all day Saturday at the pool, talking, and then had a nice dinner out to celebrate.  Kudos to her Hubby David for arranging it all.  WE LOVE YOU Lizzy and Happy Birthday!

VBS Submerged at CFBC

Cade had a blast doing VBS at CFBC all week long in the mornings.  He loved all the decorations and seeing his friends, he even saw many of his friends from Ehrhardt.  Even Caelin was able to see the decorations each day as she helped drop off Cade.  Thanks to Gamee for taking him most mornings to help us out and CFBC for loving on all our students!
