One of my favorite things that Decker Prairie Elementary does is the birthday book club. Parents can enroll their kids for a small fee and then they are able to join the Librarian at some point during the year for lunch and to select a book of their choice for the Library to have in their name. Caelin selected a book titled, "Bear's House of Books". It was just perfect!

Decker Prairie Field Day
Field Day was a HOT one! I was lucky enough to take a half day off of work and be there to support the kids for their special day. They both had fun playing games and being outside with their friends. I laughed quite a few times at the creativity of the games. I remember how fun field day was when I was in elementary school. We would wait all year for our day outside and I can remember my Mom always being there with treats for the class and cheering me on. I guess this is the main reason I want to be there for Cade and Caelin. I just love playing with them and seeing them shine!

Cade's Robotic Showcase
Today we had the opportunity to watch Cade as he used the many skills he acquired over the course of the school year in Robotics Club. Coached by Mr. and Mrs. French every Wednesday after school Cade worked n his coding skills and built various types of robots. The final showcase showed off the robot his team had worked, Bobby Dee, on by competing with other teams in a "soccer competition." The robot performed well as Cade made adjustments improving its performance along the way. Gamee, Grampee, Nonnie, Poppie, and Nana all came out for support and were in awe of everything. By the end of the night, we were treated to exhibitions by Cade's robot, a robot dance-off, and some amazing from students all across Tomball ISD. Needless to say Cade is looking forward to Robotics Club in the 4th grade!

Easter in Round Rock
Easter was beautiful this year and filled with laughter. I mean, with 4 young kids...why wouldn't it be awesome? Ha! We have been so blessed in our lives and the most important thing is always family. We kept busy with pedicures, "Shazaam" at the movie theatre, dinner at Pacific Star, resurrection eggs retelling the story of Jesus, dying Easter eggs, decorated cupcakes, cousin sleepovers, egg hunts outside and inside with flashlights at night, Church Festival, Church on Sunday to celebrate that He has risen, and a few glasses of wine at night. It can be easy to forget why we celebrate Easter at times with all the hustle. Luckily, our entire family recognizes the need to slow down and praise God for all our blessings and giving us Jesus. What a precious gift, He has risen indeed!
