Season 39 of Survivor has begun! I cherish our Wednesday nights when we watch Survivor as a family. As with our family tradition, each of us drew 5 names randomly to be on our teams. We decided this time the winner picks where we go to eat dinner. Of course, I will be defending my title as last Season's winner, ha! Let the game begin for the search for the next SOLE Survivor!

Caelin's 1st Soccer game with DC United
Caelin did her thing and hustled well during her first game with DC United team. She has a fiery spirit in her that is contagious to others and we love watching her do something she loves. We are praying for a fun season, meeting new friends, and getting better at our dribbling skills (quick feet and little touches is what our handshake is for the season). Go Caelin go!

Happy 40th BD to our rock!
On Sept 19, 1979, a beautiful new Mommy delivered a baby boy. That baby grew into a man that God gave ME! There are no words to describe the pure joy that he brings our family. Charles is a man of faith and integrity. He can be found every night helping with the bedtime routines, praying with the kids, and singing to them. He demonstrates wisdom and love to everyone he encounters. He has changed the lives of countless students and stands firm in what he believes. He puts up with me, laughs at my jokes (even if I know he is faking it), and shows me grace when needed. He is the funniest quiet person you will ever meet. To celebrate his day, the kids decorated the house and I took him for an early dessert as soon as he got off work. Then, we met to eat dinner with the Hall family and celebrate in style. Gamee made an awesome cake with a money dispenser inside! When we got home, our "Framily" (Mallia/Joyce families) had decorated the front porch for our old man. We are all so blessed to have Charles in our lives. Happy 40th BD Charles and cheers to a new decade! SHMILY. "3"

Bunco Babes
I just have to do a post about our amazing Bunco group. Only God knew in January what bonds he would create with the women in this group. Sometimes it is hard to prioritize as parents spending time with friends and getting in adult time. Moving to our new community has really been a lesson for us in this aspect. We have struggled in the past as the kids were younger and talked about wanting to get out more to show the kids the importance of other relationships and friends outside of our family unit. As I reflect back on all the Bunco memories since Jan, I cannot help but smile. These women have the BEST hearts, make me laugh, and we are able to share dinner and fun together monthly. Here are a few pics of the last few months!
