It's amazing what you can do in 24 hours! I took
the day off today and drove to Mom's last night to help with a few things. I
was able to see family for dinner, use a dremel tool to shave a floor pipe so
that the new electrical cover would sit flush on floor, Mendy and I helped Mom
with a great financial meeting today, and then us 3 girls had a lunch date. It
was a fast 24 hrs, but I adore every minute I get with family and am blessed to
be able to help. My heart is FULL!

Bunco...year TWO!
It is hard to believe a year has gone by since our Bunco group started up. One of the BEST blessings of moving to Woodtrace has been the families and friends we have met. This group of ladies bring joy to all they meet and I look forward to our monthly time of laughter. I started the year off with hosting at our house and we had a spicy theme as year 1 was a hot one. Haha! We enjoyed chips/salsa/guacamole, taco soup/cornbread, and jalapeno margaritas. Gamee made the dessert for us and amazed us all with her taco cookies and cookie sopapillas! The tacos were made of sugar cookies (taco shell), oreo crumbles/fudge (taco meat), buttercream icing (sour cream), white chocolate colored green and shredded (lettuce), fondant colored yellow and shredded (cheese), and topped with cherry bomb candies cut in half (tomatoes). They were so delicious and everyone loved them! We are so excited to start year 2 off right.

Grampee's 25th Houston Marathon!
So proud of our Grampee! Today he conquered his 25th consecutive Houston Marathon. That's right 25! We ate lunch yesterday at Marviano's to get him ready and then were able to cheer him on today. There are just no words for this accomplishment and we are so blessed to have him as a role model to us all. He prioritizes his health and never gives up. He is a true testimony of perseverance. We are beaming with pride and love you Grampee!
