One of the priviledges we all have of being a citizen is assisting with Jury Duty. Many people hide from Jury Duty, send in excuses, or just do not show up. I personally feel like it is our civic duty to help with Jury Duty. So, just over 2 weeks ago I reported to the Montgomery County courthouse in downtown Conroe to serve. Of over 70 Jury members, the Judge called 14 of us to serve with 2 of us being alternates. I was shocked to get chosen and then even more shocked to find out it would be a 2 week trial. We had to be seated in the Jury box by 7:45am daily and then were released around 6pm each night. I could choose to complain about the work I was missing, how Gamee had to assist with the kids, or the lack of sleep after an hour commute each way...but I see it as a service to others. When it was all over, we awarded the largest settlement in Montgomery County history with over $20M. The people I sevred with became friends and the Judge was brilliant, funny, and fair to both sides. I was honored to serve in this capacity. I sure hope Cade and Caelin see Jury Duty as a personal duty to help their community when they grow up.

SCORE!
Our precious girl scored a goal today! It has been a while since she scored one, and she was so excited she cried with joy. Daddy asked her what she was thinking afterward and she said "I thought of the Frozen song with Elsa singing 'For the first time in forever...'" What a great memory to see your child so proud of themselves. Then, Grampee brought me a raised garden bed he made. Can't wait to grow some veggies. Now off for family movie night featuring 'Old Dogs'. I am one lucky lady!

Easter with the Hall's
Today we celebrated Easter with the Hall's! Gamee and Grampee spoiled us with baskets, an egg hunt, treasure hunt with clues, sack races, and of course confetti eggs. We sincerely hope that Cade and Caelin one day know how priviledged they are to have both sides of the family that are faith filled and loving. It is easy to take this for granted. Thank you Jesus for rising from the tomb and taking our sins from us. You truly are El Roi.

Spring Fling
We had such a blast with friends (we call them "the Framily") tonight at the first annual Spring Fling. We has a country theme and enjoyed live music and a taco truck. The kids had a blast running around in the culdesac and the adults enjoyed some throw back songs by the DJ.

Springing into a new season
Bunco was beautiful and delicious at Jessica's house this month! I love the spring flowers this time of year and homes filled with laughter and friends.
