Farewell 2023

What a year of SEEKing God it was.  I am so thankful this was my word over the past year as I focused on pausing and SEEKing him in my daily walk and decisions.  My journey often reminded me that I should check my decisions to ensure they are aligned with God and allowed me to see that he can be a part of even the smallest things in my daily life.  We ALWAYS have opportunities to praise and SEEK him daily. 

Our 2023 Highlights included: 

*Caelin accepted Christ into her heart on November 27th!

*Cruise to Mexico with the Parks family

*Traveled to Bellingham, Washington & Vancouver, Canada as a family.  This was the kids first time out of the United States!

*Cade (age 14) is now in 8^th grade and enjoys playing football, throwing shot put/discus and the Bass in orchestra.  He serves with NJHS and likes to work out in his free time.

*Caelin (age 12) is now in 6^th grade and enjoys horseback riding and began competing in IEA walk/trot.  In her free time, she enjoys sewing and drawing.

*Cade and Caelin both enjoyed church camp with friends this summer and excelled in school.  We continue to be amazed at all they accomplish.

*Bear (age 7) remains the best listener and smiles at us when we get home each day.  Although he is now fully blind, he loves to play fetch and is very spoiled.

*Charles and Stacy celebrated 19 years of marriage and 20 years working in Education.  We both love our jobs and are blessed by the people we work with.

 

We pray that 2024 brings everyone blessings galore!

Happy 7th BD Bear!

Today, our Bear Bear turns 7! He was the last pup in his litter of 11 and the biggest. All pups were born on Dec 30th, except Bear who was born the morning of the 31st. He continues to surprise us all with his energy at times, is the biggest snuggler (he wants to lay all 65lbs of himself in your lap), best listener, and and has the most loving heart. When we come home each day, he literally smiles showing all teeth. Being blind does not slow him down and has been a reminder to our family that blessings and joy can come from storms. Happy Birthday to our "baby" Bear!

Hall Family Christmas

We have always been blessed with 2 amazing families!  Celebrating together with the Hall family was nothing short of good memories and laughs this evening.  We enjoyed a yummy taco salad dinner while the kids were spoiled with pizza.  We took our time after dinner opening gifts with Andrew being the "Santa" this year.  Caelin loved her monogrammed saddle pad, sewing kit, weekender bag, bluetooth headphones, and other goodies.  Cade was most excited to get Tickets to a Rockets game with Gamee/Grampee, but loved his Nike throwing shoes, white Crocs, Amazon gift card, and Nike travel bag as well.  Santa of course was so good to everyone and a some of us even won a few dollars from the lottery tickets.  Jacob did the honor of lighting all the birthday candles before we sang and enjoyed a brownie and ice cream dessert.  Next up, games!  The first game was hooking candy canes onto a candy cane you had to hold in your mouth.  Grampee seemed to be the winner of that one and was quite proud of beating all the grandkids, ha!  Next we were all blindfolded and had to use spatulas to scoop up marshmallows onto our plate within 30 seconds.  Christopher dominated that one!  We are so grateful to Gamee and Grampee for all the little details to make this evening special for everyone.  Happy Birthday to Jesus and thank you for the blessings bestowed on all our families.
