Annual Thankful Pumpkin

We continued the tradition of our thankful pumpkin for November.  Each year we buy a white pumpkin and everyone writes what they are thankful for throughout the month.  It is fun to watch the pumpkin grow throughout the month.  The fun part for me is towards the end of the month when all the "big things" are covered and we start searching for the smaller blessings like Taco Bell, pumpkin bread, Dad's cooking, candy, and when the kids get along.  Ha!  We truly have so much to be thankful for!

Random November Moments...

Caelin's big decision

Caelin has been talking to us for several months about accepting Christ into her life.  Tonight she was ready to make the commitment and asked Charles, Cade and I to be there.  We could not be more excited about who she is becoming as a new Christian and all she will do to spread the word of Jesus.  We will continue to pray for her to be a shining star and a role model for others.  When I asked her how she was feeling, she said happy, excited and proud.  Today was also the one year anniversary of when Aunt Mendy was baptized, so I am honored they share a special bond for November 27th.  What a milestone day for our beautiful girl!

Baylor Football

Our season has not exactly gone as planned, but it is times like this that make us proud that we are not "fair weather fans".  Part of being on any team is celebrating the highs and embracing the lows...together.  Although our season did not have as many wins as we would have liked, we still showed up to support our team come rain or shine.  We had several long and quiet drives home, but we are still blessed to bleed green and gold and honor Baylor University.  This season we had many memories of attending the games as a family, Daddy/Cade, Grampee/Cade, and even Gamee and Grampee joined us for the last game.
