Tomball Homecoming Week
What a busy week we had! Keeping a small town feel, Tomball certainly knows how to make Homecoming special for the entire THS feeder patter of schools. The theme was "Rio de Janiero", so everything was festive throughout the week and lots of red cougars. This year was extra special because Cade was a Freshman, so he had the full HOCO proposal and dance to add excitement. Cade asked his friend Bea to HOCO at a surprise dinner at Chili's with the families. Since she loves Star Wars, he had a themed poster that read "In a galaxy far far away, I see you and me dancing the night away." They spent the next few weeks planning their outfits to color match, and all the details of the evening. The week started with the parade downtown on Wednesday. Charles was representing his school and the PTO bought him a snazzy blow up costume, haha! Cade rode with the Freshman football team, while Caelin walked with her Cross Country team. I ran around crazy taking pictures of everyone. Lol! The excitement continued on Thursday night with Cade's Freshman A team game. They kept the winning streak alive as being undefeated! After the game, Cade and Bea exchanged Mum/Garters for the next day. It cracked me up as Cade's friends, Wyatt and Connor, stayed after the game to provide some comedy relief during the exchange. Friday was filled with excitement at the school, Cade getting his braces off during the day, and Friday night lights with Varsity playing. Saturday came and Cade was thrilled to get ready for dinner, HOCO dance, and after party with friends. We met up with his close guy friends to take pictures before everyone scattered with their evening plans and dates. We then met up with Bea near the lake to take pictures. Cade was so sweet waiting for her to get out of the truck and he handed her the bouquet of flowers for the pictures. Next up was dinner at Lucas' house. Lucas' Dad is a professional chef, so they were treated with steak, vegetable salad, carbonara, and dessert. The Mom's chatted and munched on a charcuterie board waiting for out next duty as chauffuer to the dance. They both said they had a good time at the dance, but that the DJ did not play any slow songs or country music (I was happy for that, ha). Next they went off to another friends house for a pool party till about 12:30am. The evening was crammed with good times and lots of smiles. I am thankful for all these fun experiences that Cade has had and know this is just the beggining of all the "firsts" in High School. Happy Homecoming to all the Cougars out there!
