Caelin's Mission Trip

We were so happy to see our precious Caelin back home safe today after her middle school mission trip this past weekend with CFBC Student Ministries. She joined over 100 other middle schoolers who served the Houston community with many outreach and service projects. Caelin's team served in 3 ways: making bags of toiletries for the homeless, cleaning up the yard of a home with Redeemed Ministries which assists women from human trafficking and dangerous situations, and putting flyers on doors of the communities around our church for Easter. At nighttime, they slept on blow up mattresses at the church and had time with friends to grow their relationships. Her favorite part was serving with redeemed ministries where they cleaned up the yard for Redeemed Ministries. We are so grateful for her servant heart to help others. 

Backyard Concert

We had a blast celebrating Jessica's 40th Birthday tonight with a backyard concert and tacos. One of Jess' favorite artists is Bekah Shae, so we had the opportunity to hear her perform, worship alongside her and friends, and then hang out and enjoy a perfect evening with friends.

TISD 5K Fun Run

Caelin, Charles, and Grampee ran the 3rd Annual Tomball ISD 5K Fun Run this morning.  It was a brisk morning and perfect weather for running.  Caelin said the course was nice and she enjoyed the fact that they didn't have to repeat any of the course in order to get the full distance.  Caelin broke her PR and ran the 5K in 25 minutes.  Both Grampee and Caelin finished within the Top 10 for their respective age groups! Charles said that he was just happy to have run the whole thing without stopping. They all reported that it was a great way to spend the morning and support TISD.

Hall Family Easter

Tonight we celebrated Easter with the Hall side of the family.  Gamee and Grampee cooked a delicious dinner of manicotti, salad, bread, and fruit. Of course there was also dessert: Angel Food Cake with Marshmallows. The kids enjoyed an Easter egg hunt in the backyard and creative games that Gamee and Grampee made.  The Deal or No Deal game was a crowd favorite as teams competed to win a little money.  The Cousins also had a competitive game similar to KerPlunk that required a steady hand.  The highlight of the night for the Grandkids was opening baskets from the Easter bunny.  We are grateful for nights like this to laugh and spend time making memories with family.  We look forward to this Sunday being Palm Sunday and Holy Week beginning!    

Athletic Booster Club Fundraiser

Tonight we were able to volunteer and assist with the Tomball HS Athletic Booster Club to raise funds for all the athletic programs and senior scholarships.  We enjoyed hanging with friends, eating Crawfish and bidding on auction items.  Cade was most excited that he and his buddy Connor won 2 electric guitars off the auction.  Cade won the silent auction in the last 20 seconds when he outbid the person online.  Cade's guitar is a Heineken Silver Coachella themed Fender Guitar.  They already have plans for a garage band, lol.
