Caelin's Castle Party

To celebrate our Princess turning 3, she requested a Castle BD party with friends.  Gamee of course went right to work on sewing her castle dress in May.  It had castle fabric and then cut outs of castles with castle buttons as decor.  Gamee also began the castle cake starting in May making over 360 small pink flowers to decorate the cake/table with.  Gamee only makes cakes for her Grandchildren and it is always a surprise the day of their party as to what it looks like.  When Caelin saw it for the first time, she ran over to the table, smiled so big with wide eyes, and then turned around and ran straight to Gamee where she hugged her legs and said, "THANK YOU GAMEE!"  It was truly perfect.  This year I cried as usual, but a good ugly cry.  It was just amazing and unbelievable to me that someone could love my kids this much to spend all this time making a cake.  This year at the age of 3, Caelin can start telling me WHO she wants to invite and what she wants to do, so planning for her party was fun.  We decided on a dress up station, make your own masks, a photo booth and a pinata.  She gave me her list of her friends to invite and almost everyone was able to come, so it was truly a magical day.  I am always overwhelmed by the love and support of family and friends.  My sis and her family traveled about 3 hours each way just to be here.  Other family and friends gave up their entire afternoon to come and celebrate our Princess.  We were all missing Nana/Papa so much, but they couldn't make the drive as Papa had just had shoulder surgery.  However, we knew they were thinking of us and we spoke to them before/after the party to fill them in on all the details.  Caelin said the best part was "my castle cake and all my presents with my friends".  I had to laugh because that is Caelin's personality...cake and friends!  For her BD, she got a ton of amazing presents.  For the fun of Caelin reading this blog in 20 years, here is a list of what she received at her party: Little People Clip Clop Cottage, Disney bowling set, personalized Disney book, Disney plate set, socks/shoes, nail polish, Ariel's Castle, Disney eReader book set, Barbie bike horn, Baby Alive, stuffed unicorn purse, pajamas, panda bear, coloring books, itunes giftcard, books, sports splash pack, and pool toys.  THANK YOU GOD for all those who surrounded us and making the day so special for Caelin.  I know it was a day she will never forget!
