Great VBS News!
Well today was an exciting day for the Hall family. Like we had been doing each day this week, the kids were picked up from VBS at Champion Forest. However, this was not a normal day as we prepared to celebrate Uncle Christopher's B-Day. At VBS pickup Cade's teacher handed us a brown package as we were informed that Cade had accepted Christ! We had been talking with Cade about what it means to have Jesus in your heart and he had been asking lots of really good questions but we weren't expecting this great news. Turns out after the class Bible study the kids were asked if anybody would like to learn more about accepting Christ. Cade and two other kids in his class raised their hands. He was then taken to the sanctuary where he met with Pastor Timmy Jeltema during which time they discussed questions about sin, forgiveness and his need for it, and why Jesus died on the cross. After some discussion Cade made the personal decision to accept Christ and as parents we could not be more thrilled and proud for him.
So after talking with Cade at home about his decision we headed out to celebrate Uncle Christopher's birthday at The Shack. Cade decided that he would tell Christopher and everybody else the good news as presents were being opened. This is because he said that would be the best gift to give. Of course, he was right. Everybody was so excited for him. We can not wait to see where Christ takes you Cade and how you grow in Him!
Discussion with Cade:
Why did you accept Jesus?
- Because I wanted to have eternal life with God.
Why did you need to accept Jesus to have eternal life?
- I am sinner and needed his forgiveness. Sin keeps you away from God.
What did Jesus do so that He could forgive you?
- He died on the cross for me and then came back to life.

impromptu Round Rock visit
This weekend we decided
to make a last minute decision to head to Round Rock for some family time. We drove into town Friday morning and then
spent the afternoon at Inner Space Cavern on I-35. I had been staring at a picture for years now
of when Charles and Cade went to Inner Space Caverns with Daddy in 2013. So, I
decided it was time we go back as a family and take Caelin for the first time. Cade loved the rock formations and hearing
how the cave was discovered. Caelin
enjoyed the formations that looked like ice cream cones and the soda straw
ceiling. We even had a chance to mine
for precious gems at the end. As if that
wasn’t fun enough, we completed the evening with a pool party at Nana’s with
seafood nachos. What a relaxing
day! On Saturday, the cousins played
hard all day while it rained. When the
clouds broke that afternoon, we went to the park before heading to Nana’s for
dinner. That evening, the cousin’s had a
sleepover at Nana’s while us 4 “kids” went out country dancing at Coupland’s. This place will always hold a special place
in our hearts as this is where our rehearsal dinner was 13 years ago. It was a fun evening with friends and
family. To wrap up the fun filled
weekend, we decided we needed a trip to Typhoon Texas so we could get in a
water park adventure for the summer.
Whew…thank you God for these fun family moments. Cade and Caelin slept 2 hours on the ride
home to Tomball, ha!
