This weekend we decided
to make a last minute decision to head to Round Rock for some family time. We drove into town Friday morning and then
spent the afternoon at Inner Space Cavern on I-35. I had been staring at a picture for years now
of when Charles and Cade went to Inner Space Caverns with Daddy in 2013. So, I
decided it was time we go back as a family and take Caelin for the first time. Cade loved the rock formations and hearing
how the cave was discovered. Caelin
enjoyed the formations that looked like ice cream cones and the soda straw
ceiling. We even had a chance to mine
for precious gems at the end. As if that
wasn’t fun enough, we completed the evening with a pool party at Nana’s with
seafood nachos. What a relaxing
day! On Saturday, the cousins played
hard all day while it rained. When the
clouds broke that afternoon, we went to the park before heading to Nana’s for
dinner. That evening, the cousin’s had a
sleepover at Nana’s while us 4 “kids” went out country dancing at Coupland’s. This place will always hold a special place
in our hearts as this is where our rehearsal dinner was 13 years ago. It was a fun evening with friends and
family. To wrap up the fun filled
weekend, we decided we needed a trip to Typhoon Texas so we could get in a
water park adventure for the summer.
Whew…thank you God for these fun family moments. Cade and Caelin slept 2 hours on the ride
home to Tomball, ha!
