Papa's got a brand new ride!

This past Saturday my parents came in to go to a huge car auction. The Mecum Car Auction was at Reliant Stadium and dad brought home a new addition to the family. Like the rest of the kids you have to keep it clean, feed it, and give it some TLC (but at least this you can put in the garage and not worry about). The truck is beautiful and has lot of extras.

Here are some quick facts about the new truck:
- 1987 half ton short bed
- new 350 short barrel fuel injected engine and complete chrome on the undercarriage and engine
- new AC and stereo
- 22 in tires and chrome rims
- "Shaved" doors/Automatic door openers (look close and you'll see there are no door handles)

A Sunday at the Lanier's

"Praise him from whom all blessings flow"...This describes Mark Lanier to a tee! Mark is a Sunday School teacher at CFBC and an amazing man of God. Gamee/Grampee attend his Life Group after "big church" and always talk of the wealth of knowledge they learn from him. To say the least, God has blessed Mark in so many ways. One of those ways is financially. Now, some people might keep their treasures to their self, but not the Lanier family! Twice a year they welcome people onto their amazing property for a day of family fun. And boy was it fun! BBQ lunch, Train rides, animals (like a zoo!), private church, biblical library, a lake for baptisms, rides, and so much more! We had a blast sharing in the day. Thanks to the Lanier Family for all the love and openess to share your home with us!

Gamee's Butterflies

Gamee has always wanted babies...LOTS and LOTS of babies. Thus, God answered her prayers, just in the form of beautiful butterflies! It started with caterpillars eating on a potted plant that Gamee/Grampee had on the deck. To keep them from eating the flowered plant, Grampee bought a milkweed plant for them to eat on. Soon the milkweed plant became engulfed with caterpillars. After lots of dating and marriages, numerous eggs were laid. The fun part is that this has been a learning experience that Cade got to share with Gamee! He has been able to see all the stages of life and even help release the butterflies. Yesterday they released butterfly #3. There are still more to come, but wanted to post some pics that Gamee has been taking. Ps- Yes, I am aware that Cade has on Santa Pajama's...let it go folks, I am a little behind on laundry.
