Family Picture Tragedy

Well, everyone has it, so here is ours.  We have always started every family picture photo shoot with a prayer.  This time was no different, only God was feeling a bit humorous that day.  Poor Gamee came along to be the photographer, and I can see it was even paining her to watch the 2 hour saga unfold.  I cannot recall how many times we offered bribes, tried to "be happy", harshly turned the little heads in the right direction, etc.  I do recall things such as the following being said at least 100 times each, "LOOK at Gamee", "If you want (Insert here...skittle, candy, capri sun, surprise, etc), then look at Gamee", "LOOK AT GAMEE RIGHT NOW", "What is on Gamee's head?", etc.  It just wasn't gonna happen folks, and all you can do is make the best of the situation.  So, this year, our Christmas Cards will proudly say, "Hope your Holidays are better than our pictures!"  To get you in the spirit, here are a few highlights below.

Happy 3rd BD to our Cousin JAX!

This weekend we had a fun trip to Round Rock to celebrate Jaxson's 3rd BD.  Originally his party way a sports theme at a park, but Mother Nature had a different idea.  Due to winds, rain and possible sleet, the party was moved at the last minute to McDonald's.  It turned out to be a perfect party for all.  The kids got their meals and a chance to run around, while the hit for me was the fudge icing cupcakes!  After the party, we all had a fun evening at Nana/Papa's and Uncle Chris grilled out ribs/pork with grilled veggies.  These short trips can be exhausting with young kids, but so worth it when I look at the pictures.  Happy BD to our sweet little Jax, we love you!

Cade's Thanksgiving Program

I was so proud of our little man this year for his preschool program at CFBC.  They did the usual program with a poem reading.  Last year he just sat at picked popcorn off his prop.  This year, he stood proudly and did the majority of the motions.  After his program, we were able to go enjoy a lunch together and have just a little time together.  My favorite was the place mat he made.  His teacher had asked each child "how to make a turkey" and scripted what they wrote.  You can definitely see Cade's creative side coming out in his story.  Thank you Lord so much for our sweet little boy.  He is a daily blessing to us and reminder that you are faithful!
