Happy 65th BD Mom!
This week has been a very special week. Nana and Papa came down to help both myself with post surgery stuff, and childcare for the kids. This week has been so much fun having them close! We have grilled out, had water fights, stayed up late, ate lots of treats, chased each other around the house with pool noodles, visited Relay for Life, met up with Gamee/Grampee, had trips to McDonald's, picnics at the park, and so much more! This week came to an end with a celebration of Mom's 65th Birthday today. We started the day watching Cade's end of the year performance at CFBC. Then, Nana/Papa whisked the kids off to McDonald's before afternoon naps. For dinner we all went to Valley Ranch BBQ to celebrate. Aunt Lou/Uncle Ray joined us as well as Gamee and Grampee. Gamee made a beautiful strawberry cake for Nana. It was Gamee's first cake to make for anyone besides the Grandchildren. The strawberry is special because when Mom was younger, the only birthday cake she could remember was a strawberry shortcake with light pink icing one year. This has always been her favorite BD cake now. So, Gamee made it even more special. We enjoyed dinner, watching her open gifts and of course CAKE/ice cream!
Happy Birthday Mom. You are such a special person and always so thoughtful of others. I am blessed that God gave me you as my Mom. Hope this year is the best yet. Love you all the way around the world and back again.

Cade's End of the Year Program
Next week is the last week of school for Cade, so today was his end of the year program. They sang 7 songs and recited 2 Bible verses. Cade has never really been the "stand on stage and sing" kind of boy. He enjoys being a lot more active than that. However, I was so super proud of him today that he stood up there the whole time, recited John 3:16 with the group and did the motions to one of the songs. He has grown so much this year in school at CFBC and I am grateful for everything. I will post more of his accomplishments when we celebrate his last day of school...Stay tuned!
