CFBC Christmas Spectacular

Every year we look forward to the tradition of going to the CFBC Christmas performance with the Hall family.  It is always an exciting time and I think the performance gets better each year.  The highlight is always the elephant "Paige" for the kids.  My favorite is always the very end of the entire performance when the three wise men raise the gifts to Jesus in honor.  Thank you CFBC members for blessing our church and community with an amazing night.  

John Wesley School Christmas Performance

Caelin worked so hard and was SO EXCITED to perform at her school this year.  All the kids wore pajamas and each class did a special solo performance with various Christmas favorites.  Our hearts were beaming with pride the entire night as she was of course the most beautiful child up there.  She sang all the songs and even did the motions and dancing.  We were blessed to see her so happy and loving the stage.  Gamee and Grampee were there, Cade was happy to see his sister up there and pointed to her, and Caelin even blew us kisses before the performance started.  After the performance we were able to get a picture with her two amazing teachers, Mrs. Watts and Mrs. Milam.  She is growing so fast and is our little social butterfly!

SANTA!!!

Another tradition of the Hall family has become visiting Santa on Market Street in The Woodlands.  We meet up with Grampee/Gamee, Christopher/Heather, and all the kids each year to all see Santa together.  Cade and Caelin were so excited and practiced saying what they wanted before arriving.  Cade went first with no problems and counted out exactly what he wanted on his fingers.  His 2 items included an "Animal Planet Giant Cobra Set" and the PS4 Lego Dimensions game.  Caelin looked a little shy at first, but then after watching Cade, she was able to walk up and sit on Santa's lap.  She also made a wish list at school with pictures that she showed Santa.  I thought it was funny when Santa asked if he could keep her wishlist and she quickly replied, "NO"!  Caelin asked for a "Starlily" unicorn and a Christmas Barbie.  I just love this time of year with the kids.  We then got to watch baby Jacob and Andrew go up as well.  We were so proud of Andrew as he did not cry and told Santa he wanted a train.  After visiting Santa (and a lot of pics), we ate a Subway dinner by the huge lighted tree in the courtyard.  The kids enjoyed running around the tree on the lawn and watching the lights.  It was a very fun evening and nice to enjoy the gorgeous weather and of course being with family.  We are blessed to have such a close and wonderful family.

Annual Christmas lights in Prestonwood

Each year we gear up and do a family drive through the streets of Prestonwood to see the Christmas lights.  Each street is a different theme such as: the story of the candy cane, nativity, Charles Brown, Disney, USA, and more.  I think the kids love the fact that they get to hang out of the car and drink cocoa the best.  Daddy drives while we all sit in the back listening to the music.  I have to remind Charles to slow down sometimes as looking at Christmas lights is not typically his favorite, Ha!  It is the little things like this that make me smile about this time of year and being with family.

A walk through Bethlehem

John Wesley Methodist church put on a beautiful and interactive night for the whole family with a walk through Bethlehem.  The night included rides on a camel and donkey, tasting foods from the time period, crafts, candle making, sweet treats, process for making olive oils, live nativity, roman guards, and a narrated play outdoors displaying the birth of Jesus.  I must say it was one of the most informational and fun thing I have ever been to during the holiday season.  The kids had such a great time.  My favorite part was of course tasting all the foods from that era in time and sitting on the floor like they did during that time period.  Cade seemed to enjoy the foods and candle making, while Caelin loved the Dreidel game with Gold coins.  We will be sure to return next year!

Last Baylor football game

Another Baylor football season has come to a close.  I love watching football and ESPECIALLY if it is the Baylor Bears!  Charles has only missed 2 home games in 12 years, so it is safe to say we are slightly dedicated.  Baylor had a great season despite the fact that we ended with our 3rd string quarterback injured.  I must admit though that my favorite part of going to Baylor football games is the time I get to spend with Charles.  Gamee/Grampee always volunteer to watch the kids which means more than words could ever express.  We are truly blessed and value our time together and being back "home" on Baylor campus.  Sic 'Em Bears, and good luck at the Russell Athletic Bowl on December 29th!
