Donuts with Dad's at Ehrhardt

One of the coolest parts of Charles' job is being at the school Cade attends.  There is no greater feeling of safety knowing he is at an amazing school with talented teachers who love students.  So, on days like today, they get to spend time celebrating together.  Cade always beams with pride when Charles is near him and they get their "boy time".

Cleaning time

I realized while at work yesterday that my purse was too heavy. I glanced inside thinking what could possibly be so heavy about my wallet and planner. Then I realized it is actually not a purse after all. Here are some treasures...not to mention 2 umbrellas, countless old coupons, hair clips, 9 pens, 4 chapsticks, etc. I think I lost 10lbs by cleaning out my purse. And yes, that is a dirty christmas sock, legos, $2 winning lottery ticket, toys, a tooth holder, and 3 hand sanitizers.  Where does all this come from?

Serving our community

It is important to me that we do service projects as often as we can to help show the kids the importance of serving.  I want it to come natural for them.  So, while bike riding today, we each took a bag and collected trash.  I was surprised that we collected 4 full bags just from our neighborhood.  Cade even said, "that felt good to make the streets look nice".

Cupcake time with Gamee

Caelin and Gamee made emoji cupcakes today and we were all quite impressed!  Poop emoji cupcakes were the biggest hit, but Caelin even got to draw emoji faces on several others as well.  They turned out well, and of course everyone loves Gamee's cooking!
