The little things...

These last few weeks have been the busiest all school year. As I reflect on my week, I am reminded that life is about the little things. It is about the memories you make with those you love, the laughter you hear down the hall, and the warm sun shining on you when you need it. It's turning up the radio on full blast when your song comes on. It's remembering the good and looking forward to tomorrow. It's leaving the zillions of toys on the bathtub for the next time a beautiful 6 yr old needs a bath. It's giving up your last empty cabinet space in the kitchen to Legos for a handsome 8 yr old.  Always remember to celebrate the little things!

John Wesley VBS

The kids had a GREAT week at John Wesley VBS!  I always love how creative they are and making the stories of the Bible come to life for the students.  A great bonus was seeing some old friends as well.

Parks Palooza 2018!

Every year, the cousins on the Parks side try to get together for a day of fun.  Sometimes schedules can be challenging between schedules of 7 families and 5 different cities/states, but we try to make it work and get the most people together that we can.  This year we missed Dana/Richard, Danny/Sally, and Michael.  Shelly drove from Dallas and we drove from Houston bringing families and good times to Lake Georgetown near Round Rock.  Extra bonus that we get to stay and see Nana at night! Holly/Cassie and Mendy's family also joined in so it was quite the gathering.  We enjoyed relaxing in the lake, eating, and catching up.  Something about cousin time always brings endless stories of laughter and memories.  Parks Palooza 2018 was a huge success!

Happy birthday Gamee!

Celebrating Gamee is always fun!  We celebrated her special day by going to Cisco's Mexican for dinner after work.  We were sad to hear Grampee had to leave before dinner started to go back to his house for the AC to be fixed.  It was still a great time celebrating an AMAZING Wife, Mom, Gamee, and friend!  This year will be the best yet!

Last day of school at Ehrhardt Elementary

Today was bittersweet as it was the last day of school and our last day at Ehrhardt Elementary.  Since we moved in February, the kids will attend Decker Prairie Elementary next year.  So, although we are so excited for all the amazing things that were accomplished this year, we are sad that we are saying goodbye to a great school and staff of teachers!  Of course, we adore all the teachers that had a hand in changing their lives this year: Cyndi Griffin, Zubena Kidwai, Debbie Tewksbury, and Sarah Huber.  Thank you for your patience, late hours of work, and energy for all students!  We are so proud and look forward to what next year brings! Helllloooooo SUMMER!

Even Bear remembered to celebrate those who have died protecting our country today. Thank you to those who served bravely and paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

10K Mud Run in Waller, TX

Life can be messy. Do it with someone you love! Today was another 10K mud run in the books for Team Hall...and yes...I did carry my own 40lb stone for half a mile. Boom!
