Cade's GOLDEN birthday!

10 years.  Double digits.  It just doesn't seem possible that Cade could be TEN years old. I clearly remember every first moment like a video on fast forward in my head.  We are so thankful God chose us to be his parents. Our lives have more purpose and love than we thought possible. Cade is the most thoughtful kid we have ever known and loves to serve others. When I look back on this past year, Cade has grown so much in maturity (and a lot taller too!).  To celebrate our special man we started with donuts and gifts with Nana in town.  Cade was so excited to get a big Hidden Secrets Lego set, a Nerf Zombie strike, Treasure Hunter's book, and his very own Travel Bug for geocaching.  After we played and relaxed for a bit, we took a trip to Sonic before heading out to find geocaches.  Once we found 10 geocaches in honor of his birthday, we headed to dinner at Hat Creek with the Hall family.  The cousins all played on the playground together and Gamee made a special rice krispies cake with golden candles and chocolates.  The entire day was a reminder to us of just how lucky we are to have Cade.  We love you Cade and are so proud of who you are. May this golden 10th birthday be one to remember!  And yes...Caelin will always be watching you. Haha!

A new family sport...Axe throwing!

What can we say...we just cannot turn down the opportunity to try something new.  So, while on a "Framily" outing to Lone Pint Brewery in Magnolia, we decided to try out the axe throwing that was there.  The kids were super excited as well and I think everyone did pretty good.  Everyone at least hit the board at some point, and Daddy and I each made a bulls eye.  Not bad for starters!

Crocodile Encounters, Geocaching and Nerf wars...

I have been wanting to explore the Crocodile Encounters in Angelton, TX for a few years and we finally made it out there! We wanted to do something fun as the last day off together as a family.  The tour was great and we got to feed a TON of animals: alligator, crocs, turtles, pigs, goats, etc. We also saw kangaroos, lemurs, opossum, snakes and more.  Caelin loved the kangaroo and holding the alligator best.  Caelin did not want to hold the alligator or snake, but enjoyed feeding the turtles celery.  After an adventurous morning, we ate lunch at a Mexican dinner in town, hit a few fun geocaches that took some coding to open up and explored the town. When we got home, the kids begged for a Nerf gun war...so of course it was parents against kids.  I am fairly confident that our neighbors might think we are crazy.  Ha!  I wish every day was a day like today with family and new memories.
