Horseback riding

Caelin started horseback riding lessons back in October at her best friend Hayden's house.  We have been so proud of her growth.  When she first started she did not know how to tack her own horse and really just followed what Hayden did.  In the last 7 months she has learned to tack, get on/off safely, basic skills of riding, and is finding her voice of authority with the horses.  She has mainly ridden George (white horse), but she has been known to get on Rose (brown horse) as well.  She can trot on both horses, and even cantered one day on George!  Recently, we asked her trainer, Ms. Sarah, to bring an english saddle, so Caelin has been trying that as well.  I am proud of her for being brave and we are excited to see what new things she learns.  Well done Caelin Roe!

Grapeland with the Cousins

While we had a busy weekend with TSA Prom, Gamee & Grampee took all 4 grandkids to Grapeland for the weekend.  It always amazes me how they have the energy, but they always do.  I know Cade and Caelin cherish the time they spend with them and the memories they make.  This time, the activities included fishing, racing boats, swimming in the lake, eating at Little Mexico, a slip and slide down the hill and of course smores at night.  These pictures mean everything to me and seeing their smiles is what life is all about.

Tomball Star Academy Prom

Prom season is here.  I thought I would be able to escape it, but with Charles being a TSA Admin, I got asked and assisted with chaperoning.  It was a great night and all the students were beautiful/handsome.  I was happy to meet additional faculty members and I love the way that TSA is a community and the staff had a great time with the students as well.
