Squad Retreat in Surfside

These 3 ladies got me through a LOT of hard times last year with challenges at work.  Through the trials, we learned, grew stronger, and created a bond that is unbreakable.  We each have our imperfect quirks, but we embrace them all collectively.  We are there 24 hours a day for each other, share the personal joys of life, and laugh constantly.  Every 6 months or so we commit to taking time away from our busy lives to be together.  Since KISD had a fall break this year, we took time to play in Surfside, TX for a few days. I am so grateful for the laughs, honest talks, and friendship.  

A quick trip to Round Rock

Mom had a doctor apt this afternoon, so I drove in bright and early to get some time in for a brunch and shopping beforehand.  We ate lunch at Whiskey Cake and then did some shopping in downtown RR at a few shops before heading home.  The most eventful part of the trip was when I was about to leave and a mysterious alarm went off.  After about an hour of searching, neighbors assisting, and taking fire alarms off walls, we found out it was the alarm for the water heater in the attic alerting us of a slow water leak.  I guess that is tomorrow's follow-up.  Ha!

Charles turns 43

It's here, Sept 19th! Happy birthday to my one and only. Thank you for being a servant leader to our family, always showing grace, and loving unconditionally. God gave me more than I ever could have imagined to pray for when he gave me you.  The kids and I love you more than any words I could write. SHMILY!

Bella Roe's 1st birthday!

Happy 1st BD to our Bella.  Caelin was so excited when we first got her and at the time we were told she was about 4 weeks old.  After looking at the calendar, Caelin decided that September 10th would be the day we celebrate her BD.  It has been an interesting year, but we have enjoyed learning about her, figuring out which treats she likes and watching her roll around in her ball.  For her BD, Bella got treats and a play pen from Caelin.  She seemed to love it all...until she figured out how to crawl out of the play pen.  Yikes!
