A fun week so far

This week has been filled with adventures since it is Mommy's first official week off!  I know it's only Wednesday, but so far the last 2 days we have been shopping with Gamee/Andrew, had a play-date at Chick-Fil-A with Blythe/Abby, Visited bookstores, and had lunch at McDonald's.  Today was packed with fun also as we went to Gamee's to play with cousin Andrew, make pizza, and go to the pool!  What a fun day...tomorrow might have to be a PJ and Pancake day to let Mommy rest!  Hahaha!

We were married in Pflugerville, TX at a Plantation house.  It was a beautiful day (although a typical HOT summer one), and one we will never forget.  I have been blessed every day since by the love, patience, and FUN Charles has given me.  There is never a dull moment and we love to laugh together.  Thanks Charles...SHMILY!

Happy Father's Day!

I cannot even begin to type about the fatherly love Charles and I have had over the years.  Truth is, I would just cry.  So, that alone should tell you how much we love our own Father's and what they have meant to us. I have decided to start doing Grandparent blogs, so I will leave all out stories for another time!  Thank you to both our Daddy's for the love you continue to show for us and our family.  Words just don't cut it.  We love you.

Now, I must move on to Charles.  Since this blog is mainly for Cade/Caelin, I will attempt to describe in their eyes what he means to them (although I know I wont come close!).  With the kids still 1 and 3 years old, it is hard for them to put into words how thankful they are.  So, for Cade, I asked him the questions below that might give you an idea of things from his perspective.  Caelin is still finding all her words, so although she is unable to share her thoughts, I thought I would list the top 5 ways that we know Caelin loves her daddy!

To celebrate the day, we ate dinner at Gamee/Grampee's where they had made a special "ice block" filled with treats and toys!  It was awesome!  The kids had to use a hose and tools to dig out their treasures. Cade even got hand cuffs (Oh my!).  Caelin loved the fruit snacks best, of course.  We even got to spoil baby Andrew since his Mommy/Daddy are on a mission trip.  It was fun for everyone.

We are truly blessed to have so many spectacular Father's in our lives and we thank God daily for what each of them gives to us.  WE LOVE YOU!

Top 5 by Caelin:

1- You say "Daddy's home" and her eyes light up!
2- She clings to his legs while he is busy until he swoops her up and gives her kisses.
3- The pure happiness I see when he holds her or sits to read a book.
4- The way she stares at him when he is working.  If he stops and smiles at her, she will go running into his arms.
5- The way she will lean in for a kiss and say "uv ooo" (Love you).

Geocaching

Since it is somewhat overcast today, I needed to get the kids OUT OF THE HOUSE.  Anyone ever felt like that?  Cade had a little stomach bug a few days ago, so we have been spending a LOT of time indoors.  This was perfect for us to go Geocaching (or as the kids say "treasure hunting").  If you are not aware of Geocaching Moms...google it.  It is free and a ton of exercise, use of brains, and fun.  I love the ones that are hidden near playgrounds or parks...extra bonus for kids.  Here are a few pics.  Now off for naps...YAHOO.  :)

Tball Season Ends

I must admit, at the beginning of the season, Cade was not into Tball that much and I was skeptical we would be able to convince him to play and run the entire season.  We were pleased to see that it grew on him!  He came to love weekly practices and his games.  He even asked me every night this week if he had Tball the next day!  I am proud of him for finding something he likes, and also for being a good team player.  Sure, we had our moments of crying and throwing our glove, but in the end, we learned "there is NO CRYING in Tball".  Congratulation Cade on your first Season of sports with an organized team.  You learned so much!  We love you remember to be "baseball ready" when you play next year!

I also have to congratulate Charles on a great coaching job!  He stepped right in, corralled those cats, I mean kids, and off we went!  The team knew baseball stance, all learned to hit the ball, knew where to run, and even where to throw the ball!  Good job Coach, we are proud of you too!

Meet our newest family member...

FLIPPER!  We are so grateful to one of the teachers at Ehrhardt who so nicely left her fish with Charles.  This means that we are now the proud (cough, cough) owners of a fish.  It did have the name "George" in its classroom, but Cade immediately announced that his name was "NOT George, but Flipper!"  So, welcome to the Fam Flipper...
