Happy 47th Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Some days will just be harder than others. Today my parents would have celebrated 47 years of marriage. To say that we are hurting and missing a piece of our family is beyond words. As much as we hurt, my Mom just simply needs prayers for comfort. To celebrate, we had brunch reservations at Jack Allen's Kitchen. A surprise came when "Dad" sent Mom an anniversary fudge cake for dessert. We love and miss you Daddy. Thanks for the beautiful lesson of love that you and Mom have showed us our entire life. Also, thank you for the special jewelry that you bought us as birthday presents. Of course we couldn't wait till Nov/Dec to open them!

Remembering HS friends we lost and celebrating together

Charles and I had a blast enjoying time with sweet friends from High School. Honored to celebrate 4 of our fallen classmates: Richard Holcomb, Rita Abi-Rached, Abra Wise, and Joseph Fite. So sad to have to let them go, but blessed to have had them in our lives.  Cancer, war, and health may have taken them early, but they will never be forgotten. Another classmate of ours, now owns a restaurant/bar, so it was a nice place for all of us to gather.  Go Dragons!

Cade's Meet the Teacher

Yup, already cried today at "Meet the Teacher". How in the world is this handsome man 6 years and starting Kindergarten on Monday? Sigh. On a brighter note, we found out his teacher today is Mrs. Cyndi Lansch Griffin! So excited to see what this year brings for Cade and prayers for him and his sweet teacher.  At least I know Cade has Daddy there as well.

Sibling love

Going to Cade's 6 yr check up. Asked kids to get in car. Cade said something to Caelin and next thing I know she took off her flip flop and started whacking him on the head. I intervened of course. Then Cade replied, "well this is awkward". Not sure where they get this stuff and whether I should laugh or cry.

Happy 6th BD Cade Beatty

To our sweet Cade,
We have watched you grow to become such a compassionate young man.  It has been nothing less than exciting to be your Mom and Dad.  We are blessed by your smile, willingness to always help others and compassion for those around you.  You are such a bright mind exploring things around you.  Legos are no match for your brain and you can easily put together a 800pc set alone.  You have a patient heart, especially when your sister is annoying you.  When we are sad, you are the first to come hug us and I personally love those sweet kisses.  To celebrate your special day, we went out to dinner at Red Robin with Gamee and Grampee.  We opened a few more presents and then went shopping to Target for Skylanders.  The world will be forever changed by you, Cade Beatty.  We cannot wait to see what this year of life brings you.  May you always be blessed with happiness and love.  Don't ever forget who your biggest cheerleaders are.
"Love you MORE,"

Cousins weekend!

Had a fun long weekend! Cade had his 6th BD party and Mackenzie and Jax got to spend the entire weekend with us also. The four cousins had so much fun and I love seeing them all together. It appears we have officially reached the ages where they all love each other, no diapers, and no fighting. It only took to the ages of 8,6,4, and 4 years. Love these 4 babies and had a blast this

Cade's 6th BD Party

This year Cade wanted to have a movie theme birthday with his friends and watch a movie.  At first he wanted the Skylander theme, but since they do not have a movie out, he picked "Wreck it Ralph".  Daddy brought home a screen/projector system to show the movie during the party and Kennybug/Caelin helped me cover all the windows that morning with black paper.  Gamee and Grampee of course 'built' the cake to look like an arcade game and everyone was so impressed as always.  Gamee even hand made all the little people on top of the building.  It was a really fun movie to pick because we could easily incorporate a candy/popcorn bar for during the movie.  We served pizza and even had a 'Coca Cola Hot Springs'.  The kids LOVED putting the Mentos in the 2 liter cokes and watching them explode.  For party favors we had bags they could fill with candy from the candy bar.  It was such a fun party and Cade's face was priceless as he was surrounded by friends.  Cade enjoyed presents such as: Skylander game with PS4 (Mom and Dad), Target Giftcard/Cash (Blevins Fam), Puzzle/Minecraft Shirt/Science Project Kit (Gamee/Grampee, How to Train your Dragon Toy/Chima Lego Book/Dragon 2 Movie (Nana), Remote Control Car (Pagnozzi's), Amphibious Car (Luke/Logan), Nerf Gun set (Bomer's), Minecraft Game for PS4 (Cousin's Andrew & Jacob), and a Glow in the Dark Lego Shirt (Fernando).  It was an eventful and fun birthday party!
