We had a great morning of running and fun at the Bearkat Bash. Grampee, Charles and I ran in the 5K and then Cade, Caelin, and Andrew ran in the 1K race shortly after. We had a good time exercising and being outside together. The kids always love the big race day!

Girls and Guys Nights!
This Friday night we had a good time celebrating as guys/gals. Grampee, Charles and Cade went to the Baylor vs Rice Football game while the girls had Pedicure/Manicures and dinner at Fudrucker's. Sometimes it is just nice to spend time with the guys/gals, thanks Gamee and Grampee for joining in on the fun!

Baylor vs SMU
Once again, we are blessed by Gamee/Grampee! They watched the kids while we were able to drive to Waco for the day and watch Baylor play SMU. It is always nice to spend time on Baylor campus and of course be together. On our way home, we were so tired...but, decided to take advantage of the time and eat at a sushi restaurant in College Station. It was yummy! Thanks Gamee and Grampee for a day/night away!

Caelin starts PK at John Wesley United Methodist
Caelin was so excited to start her final year in PK at John Wesley. She loves her friends and the teaching staff is amazing. We laughed a little when she wanted to sleep with her backpack the night before. It is safe to say this girl has been waiting FOREVER for school to start. Her teachers this year in the Kangaroo class are Mrs. Thaxton and Mrs. Newberry. I know this year will be her best yet and she is going to grow beyond our belief. May this year bring you more blessings than you could ever count Caelin Roe. We love you and are proud beyond words at how mature and grown up you are.

A little note...
Fyi: 4 Grandkids can fit into a large dog cage very easily. I am secretly contemplating whether to pad the inside of the cage and insert a goldfish treat dispenser. Boom!

18 months
Today is not the easiest. Today we celebrate 18 months of Daddy in Heaven. To celebrate him, we got Mom her favorite caramel frappacino from McDonald's and we had a major splurge and tried the new coconut milk mocha iced coffee. We laughed at how he would have blew the straw wrapper back in the window or made us laugh with some antics. We just miss him so much EVERY day. No words can express that and it is the simplest things like smells, certain words people say, seeing a grey haired man, hearing someone yell out Papa, etc. Our grief is simply the price of love...and man was he loved! We love you Daddy!

Baylor Football begins!
We were blessed this year to get extra tickets from our seat buddies for the opening game for our Baylor Bears. So, we took advantage and bought one more ticket so that Nana could go with us. It was a great evening game with perfect weather. The kids enjoyed more of the stadium experience, cheerleaders, lights, fireworks, etc. Nana of course loves her football and it was great to make memories with her at one of our most loved places. Sic 'Em Bears!
