We believe that those we love in Heaven send reminders to us when we need them. Not a day goes by that we do not remember Daddy. Holidays always have a reminder that we have an empty place setting. We see Daddy in the simple things like blooms on the gardenia tree and lady bugs. Before we left for our Thanksgiving trip, a bloom on the gardenia tree arrived (first one in 2 years). Since we have been together a lot this week, Daddy has come to visit us together. Instead of landing on one of us, he insists on landing between us sisters. This includes inside the car and outside on patio. We love you Daddy!

A not so little home project...
Tonight while Gamee and Grampee spoiled the kids with a movie, we did a home project! I had been wanting to shiplap the top niche in our entry way. It is located about 15-20 feet up on the wall, so it is no easy task. Quotes were quite pricey ranging up to $900. Since we can be a little handy, we did some exploring at Lowes earlier in the week for cheaper options and found a box of vinyl that was wood print for $58. It only took us about 5 hours and a lot of climbing the stairs and ladder. Charles navigated the ladder and attaching the pieces to the wall while I measured/cut the vinyl and put liquid nails on each piece. Who knew an extension ladder could be so needed inside a house?! So happy it turned out so well and proud of Charles for climbing up the ladder so high.
