Easter at the Hall's

Before heading to Round Rock to celebrate Easter we had the opportunity to celebrate Easter early on Palm Sunday at Gamee/Grampee's home with Christopher, Heather, Andrew, Jacob and Aunt Lala. We began the morning attending church before meeting up with everyone. As always fun was had by all: great food, cascarones, egg hunt by assigned color, and of course dessert. Our family is truly grateful for the greatest blessing of the celebration of Christ's ultimate sacrifice for us.

Developmental Prom

One of my proudest accomplishments while working in Special Education was starting up the district-wide Developmental Prom.  I love watching all my friends come out of their shell and talk to students from other High Schools.  It is so much fun watching them dance the night away and thinking about each of their journeys.  Some students I have watched grow from the age of 3 years.  Some may call me a teacher, but in truth...they have each taught me more than I could ever teach them.  Thank you Jesus, for creating such beautiful friends inside and out.

Party on the Prairie and Fun Run

Today was the culmination of weeks of fundraising for Decker Prairie Elementary. During the school day, Cade and Caelin took part in a Fun Run to raise money for the school by running as many laps as they could. Both did outstanding and ran more laps than they thought they would.  Thanks to Gamee for being there to support them as they ran.  After school was when the real fun began! Party on the Prairie is a carnival that the school puts on that parents and kids have a blast at. This year was a special treat as the school was celebrating it's 35th Birthday. Needless to say after spending money on many tickets Cade and Caelin rode every ride they wanted and participated in all kinds of carnival games. Out of all the games played, the one that was tops in the kid's mind was the soda bottle ring toss.  Needless to say, we came home with eight 2 liters of soda thanks in part to some great tosses by the kids and some gifting by Mrs. Moline (thanks "Schmom").
