We are looking forward to a great season of learning football. Today was Cade's first game with the Tomball Redcats after 3 weeks of solid practices. Charles is also one of the coaches, so I am glad they are able to spend time together while learning football. I could not be prouder of Cade for trying something new and staying active. He is already such a great teammate to others and is learning more each day!

Tabasco HOTline
Cade left us a note on the fridge. I think he likes Tabasco like his Papa. I love that he provided contact info and all.

Fantasy Football Draft
This year we took on a new challenge and joined our friends in a Woodtrace Fantasy Football league. Charles had done this before, but I simply had no clue as to what I was doing until I got a little help from Charles and Chris B. Once I understood the points and rankings, I just went from there. It was a little nerve wracking to do the draft this evening since there are 12 players (6 couples) and 16 rounds where we pick when it's our turn. I am pretty sure I was the only one who had never done this before. Being surrounded by friends was comforting though and I am sure the competitive fun will start soon. Charles and I both had such a great time laughing and are hoping we do well this season. We are thankful for friends to laugh with and challenge us to do new things. Now...let's win!

Baylor football begins
Thanks for a great day Waco! All our favorites in one packed day: Homestead, Baylor Bookstore, Junque in the Trunk shopping, Vitek's, Bear pit, tailgating, Common Grounds coffee and of course the season opening football game! Cade's highlight was releasing his first Travel Bug that he received for his 10th birthday. He named his travel bug "Baylor Bug" and the goal is for it to travel to as many Football stadiums as possible. To help accomplish this, he dropped it in a geocache that is closest to McLane stadium tonight. We sure hope it travels far! It was a great day for the bears and our family. Sic 'em Bears!

Celebrating 51 years of love
Today would have been Nana and Papa's 51st wedding anniversary. It goes without saying that their love was a true agape love and one that only the luckiest of people experience on Earth. Because of their love for each other, Mendy and I grew up having known what love means. I am forever grateful for the example they set together. A picture says a thousand words. Happy Anniversary to the BEST parents God could have ever created for me!

First Day of School
1st day of 2nd and 4th grade was a busy one:
- Started off great, with new clothes, morning routine and chores, and on time...except the 2 right shoes mishap for Caelin. Note to self, check to make sure you have a right and left shoe before you buy them.
- Gamee made the best C shaped letters that told all about what they love, how big they are, what they want to be and more!
- Cade was not as excited to take pictures with me in the hallway, he will learn to like it. Haha!
- Caelin was nervous and had some tears but was excited after school.
- I located a new pair of shoes at Academy that have a right and a left shoe!
- Caelin was eating a starburst after school and lost a tooth...with blood everywhere and tooth on ground.

Hilltop Lakes, TX
There are not enough words to describe the fun we had this past weekend with friends. We now call ourselves the "Framily" because even though we are brought together as friends, we have become family. There is joy in coming together as friends and spending time together with our families. We are all different and yet, we accept each other regardless. Thank you especially to the Joyce family for hosting all the craziness. We laughed so hard our cheeks hurt at times, smiled at the kids trying new things (foods, tubing, paddle boarding, hog hunting, and more), and were reminded that life is about these memories.
