OK, so this past Tuesday we went to our Doctor for the weekly check-up and found that our lil angel is BREECH!! Dr. is very certain that he will not turn this late in the game due to his size. SO...we will continue going in for weekly check-ups on Tuesdays until Aug 11th. At that point, the Dr. has the last sonogram scheduled. If he is still breech at that time, then we will have a c-section scheduled that week, which will be 39 weeks along. So, it looks like he will probably be here in 2 weeks, unless I go into labor sooner! Needless to say, bags are packed and we are READY for our lil man to get here! I really do not care how he comes as God has given me a peace either way. I just want to hold him and know he is safe! So, pray he continues to grow strong and healthy and comes exactly how God intended...oh yeah, and maybe pray for a fast, easy and safe delivery! :)
Here is what he has been up to this week!

36 weeks Pregnant...so many changes!
I simply cannot believe we are 36 weeks pregnant! In just a short time, he will be here and our lives will change for the better forever. My favorite thing about watching Cade grow up is going to be watching Charles as a Father. I know it sounds sappy...but I just love Charles more and more everyday and I know he will be the most amazing Father. I can't wait!
We also went to the Doc this week and found out we are 1 centimeter dilated...so he is coming soon! The Doc predicted 2-3 more weeks, 1 week before our original due date of Aug 20th. We go this coming Tuesday for our last Ultrasound and we will possibly know more then! So, stay tuned!
Cade has been such a busy little man! This week he has done so much, read below!
"Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. He now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. He's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered his body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected his skin during his nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement. At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Round Rock Shower...with love by Nana and Aunt Mendy
This past week has been a crazy one! Over the weekend we were able to spend time with family and friends at a shower they gave us in Round Rock. It was so much fun to see everyone and catch up, especially since we live out of town! The shower was given by Nana and Aunt Mendy with a "Sweet Pea" theme. I love the green and it was a great time to sit back and relax! See the slide show with all the good times!

5 more weeks...or until the due date at least!
So, here is what Cade has been up to this week. He has also located the exact place in my ribs where he is happy and seems to "crawl up there" or put his feet as soon as I lay down to sleep. My blood pressure has continued to be perfect always around 110/60 and his heart rate is constant in the 130's/140's. I won't comment on my weight (hehehe), but Cade seems to be growing at a fast rate with increasing strength (AKA: punches and kicks). Charles and I laughed out loud the other day when we read in our book that we may notice him slowing down and not moving as much. NOPE...Not my lil over achiever!! He has only gotten stronger and more frequent! But, I have to admit, it is a good feeling to know he is there and moving!! I still wouldn't trade anything for this experience, and I continue to thank God daily for the gift of Cade.

Sunday School Fun!
Our sunday school class at CFBC threw an amazing baby shower this morning! I couldn't wait to post about it. We had an array of breakfast items from fresh fruit, casseroles, quiches, cinnamon cakes, and muffins. It was SO yummy and I loved it! Here are some pics below of us hangin out. Babymoon in Sugarland, TX
So, many of you are saying, "What's a babymoon?" WELL...it is similiar to a Honeymoon, but a trip you get to take prior to a new baby to celebrate as a couple before someone new enters the family! So, since we can't travel far...we went to Sugarland! It was an amazing trip! We had very little planned (which was relaxing), but still did SO MUCH! We stayed in the Marriot on Town Square and had a blast! We ate at amazing places every night, had massages, facials, swam at the pool, went shopping, went to the movies, and did I mention EATING??? The pictures below say it all! Now it is time to get back on task and make those final preparations for Cade's Arrival! You can also see what Cade has been up to this week down below!

We created our own lotion at Bath Junkie for the hospital...I am thinking it will be some magical massage lotion that will just make Cade pop right out without any pain or problems! PLEASE do not tell me otherwise!

Let me introduce you to a new frozen yogurt place called "Swirl". Unfortunately, we patroned this place WAY TOO MUCH!! Even if we were stuffed, we still managed to pick our cup and fill it with everything we wanted...then you pay $.43 per ounce. WARNING: the picture below contains $16 worth of frozen yogurt and toppings...but SO WORTH IT!

This pic shows exactly HOW FULL we were when we returned to our hotel one night after dinner and "Swirl"...in an attempt to open our hotel door, Charles dropped his wallet. I was NOT going to bend over and pick it up...and since Charles' belly was just as big as mine by this point...we decided the best option was to kick it down the hall and into our room! Hey...whatever works, right?! We did pick it up eventually the next morning!
As we were leaving Sugarland, we made a detour to take a pic with my best friends lil brother. This is Jordan in the Chick-Fil-A cow costume. I do not think he was pariticularly excited for us to take his pic...but we enjoyed seeing him!
Ok, this is a picture of me looking down at my belly this morning at Starbucks. Cade loves to lay sideways and make my belly look like a cone! So, here he is making his presence known and making what I call, "Cade's Cone"!

His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. Happy 4th of July Weekend!
We had a great weekend celebrating July 4th! We did it right by swimming, eating, spending time with Fam, listening to music at Cynthia Woods Pavillion, and watching Fireworks! We enjoyed the weekend and will not forget all the men and women who sacrificed their own freedom so that we could enjoy ours. Anyone thinking of the Toby Keith Song??...just wondering! God Bless America!

Dinner with friends!
We were lucky this week for several reasons! First of all, we were able to meet up with friends twice for dinner this week. One night we went to Red Robin with the Gonzalez' and the Silvios' from our Sunday School class. It was great and since Alia and I are both Pregnant...Lindsay got grilled with questions all night! :) So, it turned out to be qutie informational!
Then, we also got to go to Texas Roadhouse (yummy!) with a friend of mine from High School, Candice Shubert...now Reyes! It was so nice to meet her hubby and see pics of her children. We loved catching up and plan to meet again soon. It is always a blessing to see old friends and hear how God has blessed their lives!
Also in the news this week, Charles completed his summer school as an administrator (so he will officially be off during the day!), and this was also his last week with his Dr. classes at U of H. So, he can actually start to enjoy a real summer now! I am so happy for him. He is such a hard worker and deserves it!
Finally, this is what Cade has been up to this week according to BabyCenter.com!
"This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood."
