Memorial Day Weekend in Round Rock

First off, I must say "Thanks" to every service man/woman that has served for our country and my family.  Memorial Day is a chance for us to slow down and spend a day thinking about your sacrifices.  Some have given lives, all have given personal time with their family, and all have been willing to lay down their life for others they do not even know. This includes my family and for that, words are never enough.  Our family proudly has many men/women that have served and I am proud to say that I love the great US of A!  Thanks again for loving our nation and serving as you do.

To celebrate the weekend, we left after the mud run to head to Round Rock to spend some time with Nana/Papa and the gang.  As usual, there was chaos, laughter, dancing, yelling, swimming, grilling, swimming, and MANY trips to Starbucks.  I was so proud of Cade as it was the first time he has really been out in the middle of a pool and "swam" without being too scared and actually moving both arms/legs!  He did so good, and was building his confidence every second.  I think it helped to see Mackenzie leaping into the pool and having so much fun.  Caelin and Jax were buds this time and seemed to hang out more.  They shared lots of toys, hugs, dancing moments, and even kisses.  It is funny to see how as they grow up, the kids all gather toward a different pal each trip.  I fear that soon Mackenzie may be too "big" to play with the youngins, but never fear as Jax and Cade had their own wrestling moments in the living room...so it is only a matter of time before the boys take over as buds.  For now though, Caelin and Jax were buds, and Mackenzie/Cade still hung out.  I just love watching the four of them grow up together.  Of course their are times when everyone is called by at least 3 wrong names, time outs get delivered, and tears are shed by all...but I treasure every moment regardless.  Cade of course had a slight meltdown when we had to leave not understanding why he couldn't "just stay some bit longer", but we survived and will look forward to our next adventure to Round Rock!
