Today, I got the joy of taking a day off to celebrate Cade! Being a working Mom is so hard when the field days, water days, theme days, etc come around. It can sometimes be hard to juggle the work life, home life, Kids lives, and marriage all at the same time. I decided that this was one of those days I just couldn't miss.
Looking back at Cade's year in preschool, he has learned so much. Cade has always been bright and energetic. I was not worried about him academically, but was praying God would teach us how to make friends and all the good lessons of life. I couldn't be happier of the outcome. Cade has grown so much this year and I am so proud of him. He has mastered most letters, numbers, shapes, colors, tracing, writing his name, etc. He worked hard to make friends, be a good friend, learn to share, not tattle, follow class rules, and use a quiet voice. We have improved from about 3-4 purple rug visits (time out) per week to none for the last month. We have also been accident free with potty training for almost 4 weeks now. Cade clearly tells us about his day at school and I love that he is starting to participate in art projects now. This means I can get some adorable pictures for our fridge! We still work to follow directions and remain calm at times, but I like to say that is just my little man's personality.
For their Preschool program, all the kids performed about a 30 min show involving saying the pledges, reciting verses, singing songs, and some pretty good laughs for the parents. Cade was in the middle stage and was not at times into what was going on. He did perform though! A few times he could be heard as the loudest, danced/rocked a little on his own, and talked to those around him. The pictures below clearly tell the story. Regardless of whether he is a performer or not, we are so proud of Cade's year in Preschool. I must say we were blessed with two teachers who were AMAZING, Mrs. Jodi and Ms. Ivania. Thanks to them for their patience, love and teaching to Cade. Cade loves his teachers and I KNOW that makes all the difference in the world when it comes to school. Congratulations Cade on a year of learning and growing into the little boy God created you to be. We have enjoyed every one of your accomplishments and laughing along the way with you. Thank you for who you are, your personality and for the love you show to those around you.
