Mother's Day is always one of my favorite days. Birthdays are nice, but giving thanks to a Mom is just incredible. Mom's are many times the rock of the families. Mom's give strength, compassion, tough love, car rides, bedtime prayers, clean clothes, clean house, meals, medicine, and a kiss whenever needed. Even being over 30, I can say on a rough day, nothing beats talking to "Mom". Thanks be to God for the Mom's in our lives who have been perfect examples all these years to Charles and I. And, there jobs are never over because now, they hold me accountable for my actions and motherhood. Praise God for my 2 awesome accountability partners!
Today was a relaxing day, and one that would be hard to beat! We made sure the laundry, grocery shopping, yard, and housekeeping was done yesterday so that today would be all about family. After church, we grabbed a picnic lunch and headed to the park. We enjoyed eating, running around, feeding the birds/turtles, and climbing trees. After a fun afternoon, we went home to take naps and rest before meeting everyone for dinner. Corey had come into town and so had Aunt Laura (AKA: Aunt Lala), so we enjoyed a nice dinner at Babins with the whole family! It was a blessing to spend time relaxing all day with those I love. God is so good!
Happy Mother's Day to all those Mom's out there. God has called us to a great responsibility of raising his children, so make every moment count!
