Not sure HOW this happened, but my precious girl is growing up. The timing was just right and it was the weekend, so we changed over Caelin's Toddler bed to a Full size bed. She helped Daddy take the bed apart and built her big bed. Then, we made her bed and surprised her with arranging the furniture and her quilt. The quilt was one I had made in college for my bedroom and was perfect with the hot pink and lime green colors. She loved it and thinks she is a real big girl now! I resisted the urge to go in and sleep with her the first night and almost wished she "needed me", but she didn't. Little miss independent did perfect, stayed in her bed after our normal bedtime routine and slept soundly until 7:30am. I was proud of her, and love who she is becoming. Congrats on the big girl bed Caelin!

Happy BD Uncle Christopher!
We had a fun evening celebrating Uncle Christopher's BD. We ate hamburgers and LOVED the Reese's peanut butter cake Aunt Heather made. Happy BD Uncle Christopher!

Swim Lessons with Coach Simmons
Both kids did GREAT on their 2 weeks of swim lessons with Coach Simmons. Coach is a natural teacher and the Kids LOVED her! Cade learned to go under the water, hold his breath, blow bubbles, retrieve toys, kick, superman pose, etc. Caelin learned to jump off the side, blow bubbles, use her goggles, and go under the water. I was so proud of them both. Can't wait to keep practicing!

Grandpa's Lillies
My Grandpa Parks had a green thumb for sure. One of his favorites were the Lillies. Over the years, he started with one bulb and has grown to multiply them by literally the thousands. They started at his home in Papalote Estates in Lubbock, TX. Our family has named them the "Parks Lillies". My Dad originally got some bulbs from my Grandpa for our house in San Antonio in the 1980's. When we moved to Round Rock in 1991, some of the bulbs came with us and were planted at our house where they are still in bloom every year! When I moved into our first house in 2003, Dad gave me some of the bulbs and they have been blessing us with beauty as well. We also have split these bulbs countless times for family, friends, and neighbors. Almost every Grandchild (3 generations) has some to share, and they all started with the love of my Grandpa and his one plant over 30 years ago. The bulbs bloom twice per year and always around our Anniversary. This continues to remind me that Grandpa is watching over us everyday. Love you Grandpa!

Our 10 year Anniversary
Can't believe it has been 10 years since Charles and I said our vows on June 19, 2004. I am so blessed God placed us in each other's lives. We were truly created for each other and there is NO ONE else I would rather share my life journey with. Words will never be enough to say how much I love this man, he is beautifully and wonderfully made. To celebrate our 10 years, Gamee & Grampee took the kids to the lake house in Grapeland, TX so that we could basically spend 2 days eating, shopping, watching movies (22 Jump Street), and more eating! Ha! We tried 3 great restaurants in uptown called The Melting Pot (not a new one, but our favorite), The Corner Table, and E'toille. All were FANTASTIC and we even took pictures of several dishes. It was such a relaxing few days and we got a LOT of sleep. Thanks to Gamee/Grampee for spoiling our babies so that we could spoil ourselves!
