Nana surprised the entire family with tickets on the Polar Express! The cousins all wore their matching pajamas that Nana bought at Thanksgiving and we met up in Palestine, TX for an amazing afternoon. Of course Nana had to buy them all conductor hats and we boarded the fastest train to the North Pole. On the way we enjoyed cookies/hot cocoa, the reading of the book, dancing, singing, and a very special visit from Santa where the kids each got a silver bell as their "first gift of the Christmas season". All 4 kids were mesmerized by the entire trip and loved doing it together. They all wanted to sit with Nana, so that was an easy fix! Caelin's favorite part was the "singing and seeing Santa". Cade said his favorite part was "seeing Patches from the movie and of course Santa!" The magic of Christmas just makes me so happy to see it in their eyes. Believing is something very special and goes away too soon. Believe is a word I wish everyone knew. The belief in fun things like Santa, belief that this world has good things to offer, and more importantly belief in our Lord, Jesus Christ. I pray everyone can "believe" in the magic of Christmas time and the real meaning!
