For the second time in three years, Baylor football is the Dr Pepper Big 12 Champion! The No. 9-ranked Bears faced No. 5-ranked Oklahoma State on Saturday at AT&T Stadium.
The Bears enter the title game at 10-2 on the season, but the Cowboys accounted for one of those two losses -- a 24-14 loss in Stillwater in early October. At 11-1 on the season (and 8-1 in conference), Oklahoma State finished the Big 12 regular season in first place; Baylor and Oklahoma tied for second with 7-1 conference records, but the Bears claimed the title game spot thanks to their win over OU earlier this month. Highlights of the game included multiple goal line stands, 4 interceptions, and a record setting consecutive pass completion by "back up" quarterback Blake Shapen. We were so proud of our bears even in the nail biting moments!
