With the Sea to Sky park area opening at 9am, we headed out early. We grabbed some "Timmie's" (Tim Horton Coffee) and breakfast and started our hour drive along the coastline. The Sea to Sky Gondolas were fun as they were smaller and it was just our family inside. Once we got to the top, we did 3 different trails; Panorama (1.3 miles), Woodland Lake Loop (1 mile), and Spirit Trail across the 110 yard suspension bridge. The views were breathtaking. The water in fjord was turquoise and clear down below with views of the mountains and ice caps above us. Just amazing to see God's beauty. My favorite part was crossing the suspension bridge and the amazing Cod tacos for lunch and the mountain cafe. As soon as we finished lunch, we headed back down the Gondola to the car for a quick ride over to the Brittania Mine Museum. The mine museum exceeded all our expectations! The mine was open and running until 1973 when it closed due to lack of profit. We started our tour with a quick train ride down into the mine. We learned the 3 different methods of clearing the tunnels (drilling, blasting, and mucking), various tools used, horn/whistle blows, and the conditions that the workers had to endure. We then explored the 7 story millhouse #3 that was built in the 1920's after a fire destroyed millhouse #2. The property also had a panning for metals area and several buildings showing interactive parts of the mining history. It was all so informative and neat! Of course we had to grab a coffee treat before starting the coastal drive back to the condo. Once we arrived at the condo, we freshened up and headed out to RedBeef Noodle in Chinatown for an amazing dinner of dumplings, pulled pork sweet buns, beef tongue noodle, and shrimp dumpling noodle. It was by far Cade's favorite meal of the trip so far. After dinner we explored Chinatown. We happened to come upon a Guiness World's Record for the "shallowest office building", ha! After returning, we went to the pool/hot tub/sauna. What a day!
