Our THANKFUL Pumpkin

In 2015 after my Dad passed, my sister started this tradition and it is one of my favorites. Beginning in 2018, we buy a white pumpkin and starting on Nov 1st, we write what we are thankful for on it. We keep markers next to the pumpkin and everyone writes at least one thing daily. We started the pumpkin this year with the words: God, family, and friends.  I love reading all the ways we are blessed as the month progresses. It is a great reminder that God is in charge of every detail of our lives.

Last Baylor game of the season

It was a chilly but great end to our Big 12 conference play with a win over Kansas. We always enjoy a day in Waco with our Bears, Common Grounds, Spice Village and Vitek's. I got an extra blessing of seeing my friend Beth at the best coffee place.  Charles also had an unexpected reunion with his former teammates Jarod Quinn and Danny Andino (Snapper, Kicker, Holder) in the letterman’s lounge.  22 years ago they made the game winning kick against Kansas and the fans took the uprights down in celebration! Charles was the deep snapper, Jarod was the holder, and Danny was the kicker. Much has changed since then, but one thing is the same, you are always a Bear!

Thanksgiving week pics

It was hard to say goodbye to the end of a great Thanksgiving week in Round Rock with so many activities.  My favorite was getting to see the UMHB campus where Mac will be attending in the fall, but we somehow also squeezed in shopping trips, cousin Walmart trips at 10pm, game nights, favorite drinks, giving a special cheers to Daddy in Heaven, golf ball shenanigans, Cousin sleepovers, pizza/movie night, new lawn mowers and more.  I cannot believe we are getting ready to welcome the month of December in just a few days!

Turkey Trot & Thanksgiving

I can't believe it, but we did it.  We actually got up and made it to an 8am 5K Turkey Trot!  Well most of us anyhow.  Cade, Jax and Nana slept in and were missed in the cooler 40 degree weather.  The girls and Charles ran the entire way.  Sis and I kept a brisk walk, but not so brisk that we couldn't carry on a good converstaion with each other, lol.  After an hour we were all snug and getting warm again in the car which made us feel better about the proposed overeating later on.  The rest of the day was spent relaxing at Nana's, playing games, family pictures, football, planning our next vacation and laughing so hard we cried.  It was nice to just "sit" and be together without a zillion things needing to get done.  We truly are grateful, thankful and blessed.
