The Hall family was thrilled to kick off the
holiday season by being invited by Nonnie & Poppie (Aunt Lou and Uncle Ray)
to be part of a cherished Tomball tradition—the Holiday Parade! On Saturday, November 23rd, we joined the
community in celebrating "Two Miles of Smiles" down Main Street. This
year’s theme, "Medals & Bling - It's A Holiday Thing,"
brought out the best of Tomball’s spirit, with the floats, antique tractors,
firetrucks, marching bands, classic cars, and, of course, Santa himself
bringing up the rear. What made this
parade especially memorable for our family was Caelin and Stacy’s opportunity
to ride in style with Nonnie and Poppie. They were invited to join them in
their stunning 1957 Chevy Bel Airs. Uncle Ray drove his Chevy, and Stacy's
cousin Robb took the wheel of Nonnie’s car. It was even more exciting with
several members of their Niftee Fifties car club cruising along in the parade
lineup.
After the parade, we kept the fun rolling
with a trip into Houston for the Baylor vs. UH football game. Charles, Caelin,
Gamee, and Grampee cheered on the Bears at TDECU Stadium. It’s always a treat
to see our team in a different venue, though it gave us new appreciation for
McLane Stadium back in Waco. The game
itself was a nail-biter. While it wasn’t the Bears' best offensive performance,
they showed resilience, pulling off a hard-fought 20-10 victory over the
Cougars. Three fourth-quarter turnovers sealed the deal, giving Baylor their
fifth consecutive win. It was an exciting way to cap off an already incredible
day.
From Main Street smiles to Saturday night
touchdowns, this holiday season is already off to a spectacular start!
