2024 was
a year of many highs for us. Looking
back at all the photos and memories bring so much joy and reminders that God is
in control. I smiled several times this
year recognizing that when things didn’t go as planned, it was because God had
a grander picture that merely required my patience. Our 2024 highlights included: vacationing in
Cancun with the Parks family, Cade & Caelin traveling to Kentucky with
Gamee and Grampee, and Charles and I celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary
on an Alaskan cruise. Cade (age 15) is
now in High School and enjoys playing football and the Bass in orchestra. Caelin (age 13) is now in 7th grade and runs
Cross Country and Track. Bear (age 8) is
the happiest blind dog you will ever meet and still loves to snuggle.
To celebrate the last day of 2024, we started with cheering on our Bears in the Texas Bowl against LSU. Unfortunately, LSU wound up on top, but we were proud regardless. Mendy had a fun game since she graduated from both Baylor and LSU, she might have been a bit confused over who to cheer for. Ha! We then enjoyed a shrimp boil, games, decorated the world's largest gingerbread cookies, fireworks (that was an adventure) and drinks while waiting for the countdown to happen. We rang in the new year with one big cheers and hugs all around. We are grateful for the beautiful memories, laughter, and even the hard times throughout the year. Looking forward to what 2025 has in store for us as we all grow together.
