Christmas Celebrations in Round Rock
We were excited to celebrate Christmas with the Parks side of the family tonight. We drove as fast as we could today (after we got the Buick out of the car shop) to Round Rock to start the celebrations. When we arrived, it was clear that Nana had once again gone above and beyond on her spoiling to us all. We spent the evening eating pizza, opening gifts and laughing at the cousins who were so excited to be together. I recall stopping several times throughout the evening to just look around and take it all in. Life sure does fly by. I recall the days when Papa was here and the kids were all under the age 10. Tonight, as I looked around, the kids are all teenagers and the house is 20 octaves higher. LOL. Even if we are missing loved ones, it is clear to see the way that God has blessed us throughout the seasons of our lives. For that, I give thanks. I give thanks...not for the gifts, but the laughter and presence of everyone in the same room. Family truly is everything. Merry Christmas indeed.
