Notice NO RAIN, ALL SUNSHINE!

In order to help brighten our day, we decided to help serve our community with a SERVE SATURDAY through our church CFBC.  Cindy kept the kids while Charles and I served at the Klein Multipurpose building with families in need.  It was a great way to help after Cade's FB games.  We even made it home in time to enjoy a little sunshine with the family at the park.  Thank you Lord for the opportunity to serve those who need it, and the time we have as family.

A whole lotta flag football

Cade has had Flag football games every Saturday since March 12th.  It has been quite an adventure to watch him play!  Today was his last "season" game.  Next weekend they have their Superbowl series to wrap it all up.  We have loved getting to know his other 4 teammates: Brandon, Jayden, Bradley and Andrew.  Stay tuned for the Superbowl next weekend...but here are some season highlights!

Flood round #2

Well, the rains just keep coming.  The main problem is that there is nowhere for the water to go as the ground is saturated.  Praying for relief soon.  I know if we are flooding here, others are suffering yet ago in low lying areas.  Prayers for relief, comfort, and God to restore our community.

A storm for the record books

It is true…I LOVE THUNDER AND LIGHTENING STORMS! I could sit outside and watch them for hours. Although some of the lightening Sunday night/Monday morning was extremely close and I decided to watch from inside to avoid wetting my pants.  Within an hour I noticed this was not our usual fun storm.  The rain came in so fast and with tornadoes as well.  It was past midnight but looked daylight due to lightening.  We did take shelter in the laundry room once, and the kids helped prepare the house as the rain kept creeping closer to the garage.  We heard news of tornadoes hitting Klein Collins high school and possibly the Willowbrook area.  We had no idea that this storm would be one for the record books.  It has turned into one of devastation and historic flooding for our community.  The morning after we finally went to bed around 5:30am. No damage that we can find to the house, just fence and tree. That was the craziest storm I have been through. Not only do I realize that I am too old to stay up all night…but I am heartbroken with the reality that our community is suffering.  We have some major rebuilding and revisions to do.  Prayers for those who lost everything.

BB loader...?

This came flying out of the cabinet at me. I turned and asked everyone who knew what it was. The kids responded with "not it". Charles looks at me like I should know what it is...so what do you think it is? A homemade BB gun loader, of course. I am not saying it isn't a good idea, but does the storage of this contraption need to be in the Tupperware cabinet?

New shoes

Baylor has some new shoes to help with his slipping and falling (getting older is not fun)! I was waiting for him to give me "the look" of disapproval, but he loves them! I had to make him slow down to take a pictures, which makes this momma happy. I like to see him running again.
