Dear Heavenly Father,

Words cannot begin to express our gratitude for the gift of Cade. We have been faithful in you and clung to your promise that if we delight ourselves in you, you will give us the desires of our heart. Well, 3 years later, many doctors, tears, and prayers...here we are. Today we hold the most precious gift you have ever given us, Cade Beatty Hall. Monday, August 10th, 2009 will forever be a day of happiness and gratitude. His stubborn personality and desire to be breech meant he came via c-section at 7:37pm, which we were thankful everything went perfectly smooth. We are gracious for his healthy weight of 8.1 pounds and his length of 20.25 inches. He is just perfect and we could not have asked for a more perfect gift. So, today we dedicate this blog to every person out there Lord who is struggling with decisions in life and feeling like you are not there. We too felt like that at times, but you continued to show us that faith and perserverance will prevail and you gave us a gift that was worth the wait of all those years! Thank you again for showing us the gift of life through you, yet again.

Top 10 ways you know you are Pregnant...

10- You answer "Air Conditioning" when people ask what you are craving

Almost Here!

Well, we are on the home stretch! It looks like Cade will make his appearance this week via c-section! We are excited, but of course getting the last minute jitters! I think the excitement is just taking over! We are spending our time doing the last minute cleaning house, mowing yard, washing clothes, etc. Just trying to have less to do when we come home from the hospital! We are squeezing in date nights and last minute fun activities as well. So, while we are busy, Cade has been too! Here is what he has been up to this week!

"Your baby has really plumped up. He weighs about 6.8 pounds and he's over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek). He has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold his hand for the first time! His organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb. Wondering what color your baby's eyes will be? You may not be able to tell right away. If he's born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If she's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time he's 9 months old. That's because a child's irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after he's born, but they usually won't get "lighter" or more blue. Week 37 is here and LOTS to tell!!

OK, so this past Tuesday we went to our Doctor for the weekly check-up and found that our lil angel is BREECH!! Dr. is very certain that he will not turn this late in the game due to his size. SO...we will continue going in for weekly check-ups on Tuesdays until Aug 11th. At that point, the Dr. has the last sonogram scheduled. If he is still breech at that time, then we will have a c-section scheduled that week, which will be 39 weeks along. So, it looks like he will probably be here in 2 weeks, unless I go into labor sooner! Needless to say, bags are packed and we are READY for our lil man to get here! I really do not care how he comes as God has given me a peace either way. I just want to hold him and know he is safe! So, pray he continues to grow strong and healthy and comes exactly how God intended...oh yeah, and maybe pray for a fast, easy and safe delivery! :)

Here is what he has been up to this week!
"Congratulations — your baby is full term! This means that if your baby arrives now, his lungs should be fully mature and ready to adjust to life outside the womb, even though your due date is still three weeks away. Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz."

36 weeks Pregnant...so many changes!

I simply cannot believe we are 36 weeks pregnant! In just a short time, he will be here and our lives will change for the better forever. My favorite thing about watching Cade grow up is going to be watching Charles as a Father. I know it sounds sappy...but I just love Charles more and more everyday and I know he will be the most amazing Father. I can't wait!

We also went to the Doc this week and found out we are 1 centimeter dilated...so he is coming soon! The Doc predicted 2-3 more weeks, 1 week before our original due date of Aug 20th. We go this coming Tuesday for our last Ultrasound and we will possibly know more then! So, stay tuned!

Cade has been such a busy little man! This week he has done so much, read below!

"Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. He now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. He's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered his body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected his skin during his nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement. At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Round Rock Shower...with love by Nana and Aunt Mendy

This past week has been a crazy one! Over the weekend we were able to spend time with family and friends at a shower they gave us in Round Rock. It was so much fun to see everyone and catch up, especially since we live out of town! The shower was given by Nana and Aunt Mendy with a "Sweet Pea" theme. I love the green and it was a great time to sit back and relax! See the slide show with all the good times!

5 more weeks...or until the due date at least!

So, here is what Cade has been up to this week. He has also located the exact place in my ribs where he is happy and seems to "crawl up there" or put his feet as soon as I lay down to sleep. My blood pressure has continued to be perfect always around 110/60 and his heart rate is constant in the 130's/140's. I won't comment on my weight (hehehe), but Cade seems to be growing at a fast rate with increasing strength (AKA: punches and kicks). Charles and I laughed out loud the other day when we read in our book that we may notice him slowing down and not moving as much. NOPE...Not my lil over achiever!! He has only gotten stronger and more frequent! But, I have to admit, it is a good feeling to know he is there and moving!! I still wouldn't trade anything for this experience, and I continue to thank God daily for the gift of Cade.

"Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products.
