Caelin's Birthday was this last Tuesday, but we had
the big party today so the family could all come and take part. It was a
special day filled with lots of laughs and a few tears. Stacy came up
with the theme awhile back and it worked out perfectly. The theme was
"Apple of Our Eye." This largely comes from the fact that
Caelin's middle name Roe comes from Stacy's grandmother, Gangaw, who always
called Stacy the Apple of her eye. So it made the day all the more special that
we celebrated Caelin's birthday on Gangaw's birthday with this theme.
We enjoyed a full house: Gamee, Grampee, Nana, Papa, Uncle Chris/Aunt Heather,
Uncle Chris/Mendy, Mackenzie, Jax, Nonnie, Poppie, Uncle Stephen, Uncle Rob and
Uncle RB, Ricky/Nikola, Lil’ Ricky, and Hana. Everyone munched on Chicken Salad
sliders, fresh veggies, wheat thins, cake pops (by Gamee) and apples/Caramel sauce.
Of course the drinks stuck with the theme of the day as we drank Apple-ade.
The real excitement of the afternoon came when Caelin first got the chance to dig into her apple shaped smash cake that Gamee had made. She loved it and took very little persuasion to begin really digging in as you tell by the pictures. After Caelin had a chance at the cake everyone else dug into a larger apple cake that Gamee made to match her smash cake. We almost hated to eat it as the cake looked so nice decorated. Let’s just say though that it tasted as good as it looks. After filling our bellies with cake and ice cream we moved onto the presents. Caelin was so excited to see all the gifts as she helped open them up. It was a blessing to see the look in her eyes and the smile on her face of pure happiness. Papa and Nana got her an amazing play box with all kinds of fun activities on it. Gamee/Grampee got her a charm bracelet from James Avery and Chris/Mendy got her first charm, bubble set, and book. Chris/Heather blessed us with a gift card to help towards the purchase of a new baby car seat! Nonnie and Poppie got her (the basic necessities) a purse, car keys, cell phone, and a lullaby bear. Stephen got her 3 “first words” books, Zebra pillow pet, and a Splashing Sounds Ducky. The Pagnozzi's family bought her 2 new dresses and a Bath Time play doll. Needless to see Caelin is well loved and her next bath time should be a fun one!

While I hate to admit that Caelin is growing up it is fun to see the young girl she is becoming. Her personality is so different from Cade’s already and is always ready with a sly smile. She is a beautiful girl and will someday grow into a beautiful amazing woman that we can all be proud of. Especially your Gangaw. Happy Birthday Caelin! We love you.
Before I end this blog post...I MUST give credit to my new friend Bee. Bee and I met on Etsy (I know, I never thought I would make such a great friend on the internet!) and she does AMAZING work with party stationary. For only $25, Bee will create invitations (whatever theme/wording/colors you like), Thank You cards, food tent labels, drink flags, return address labels, party favor tags, and water bottle labels! She emails you them in adobe files or jpg's for you to print and use! Everything is personalized with you specific party items and names of people attending. It was a super nice touch and everyone LOVED it. It pretty much took care of most of the decorating! She will make as many changes as needed at no extra charge. I cannot say enough good things about Bee and how special she made our day. We have actually already got Cade's stationary and party stuff done already! Thanks Bee, you have been such a blessing!
If you would like to contact Bee for any party needs, here is her email and Facebook info.
