This Easter was filled with fun, family, adventure, faith, and eggs. We began the weekend on Friday at Champion Forest Baptist Church with a Good Friday Service. It was the perfect time to reflect on what the weekend really meant in our lives as Christians. Saturday we got up and took a family road trip to Chappel Hill. We ate lunch at Beaver's Kitchen and did some shopping on Main Street before moving on to other adventures. Of course on Sunday we attended church in the morning. It was a beautiful service. After church we returned home to quickly change and grab the brisket that had been cooking for 16 hours so that we could head to Christopher and Heather's home. There we ate and celebrated the day with the all the Halls and Heather's side of the family. Of course the day would not be complete without a good old fashioned egg hunt. Each of the kids were able to find all of their eggs (the favorite being the money eggs!). Although, I am not sure if the kids had more fun hunting Easter Eggs or smashing the everyone with confetti eggs. Let's just say I am glad the celebration was not at our house this year. All in all it was an amazing weekend filled with blessings that were made available only because of the sacrifice of love by our Lord. Happy Easter!
