Ever since we moved into the Woodtrace neighborhood we have attended the Boots for Troops Concert in the Country. This year was not any different. Over the past 6 years Boots for Troops Concert in the Country has raised over $500,000 for Boots for Troops programs. They specialize in supporting service members all around the world with their custom care package program. It is always a blast to attend the concert. The food is good, there is plenty of good country music, and the friends that we meet up with are the best. There are always about 10 families from the neighborhood that we met up with. We talked, laughed, and danced to Aaron Watson and Shenandoah. The biggest applause though this evening was not for one of the performers, but for the Houston Astros. They were showing the World Series Game on the big screen, and they won clinching the World Series Championship.
