Cade gets his Driver's License

Today marked a major milestone for our family as Cade officially received his driver's license. Sometimes I wish time would slow down because it feels like just yesterday he was learning to ride a bike, and now he is legally driving on his own. The four of us headed to the DMV with all of his paperwork in hand, including his driving hours, course completion certificate, and the driving test score of 90 he earned despite losing a few points for not using his turn signal while parallel parking. With a 4:30 appointment, the process moved quickly, and after reviewing documents and taking his picture, the attendant handed him his paper license.  There are simply no words to express joy and anxiety wrapped into one moment. My mind was racing thinking about how we brought him home from the hospital as a baby in this truck, and now he would be driving off in it. To celebrate, we met Gamee and Grampee at Margaritas and Fajitas for dinner and enjoyed recognizing this special accomplishment together. My heart definitely We are incredibly proud of the young man Cade is becoming, but to all the drivers out there—consider yourselves warned!
